"PlayStation 4 Upgrade Campaign Ending Soon"... Another April Fools joke?

It wouldn't even be a funny joke. Could you imagine if a bunch of people rush to get the upgrade thinking it would be over only to find out it was "haha april fools"? People would be upset, even more so if they went out and bought a PS4 sooner than they wanted to.

Or if they wait until april 1 to upgrade and then SE say "april april, it ended already yesterday"

Well that really would be their own fault not SE's. It nice if you already have a PS4 and want to upgrade but I don't see reason for anyone to rush out and buy a PS4 for it being the game is only $30 and often on sale for 50% during PSN sales lowering it to $15.

How many things do people complain about on these forums that in all honesty was their own fault?

I work for a Japanese company. Their fiscal year begins in April. On top of that, I also lived in Japan for a year and a half. They don't really do April Fools. It's more of a Western phenomenon. April 1st makes complete sense to end it from a Japanese standpoint.

Once I read that they extended the free upgrade, I was happy and got a PS4 and upgraded early January. So far I don't play any other game on my PS4 other than this, but hopefully I will get some good use out of it once something I like finally shows up for PS4.

They should wait until April 1st and say it's extended until August. And then say April Fools on the 2nd. Would be cruel, but hilarious.

I personally got my PS4 in January after they said they would be extending it. The free upgrade was actually one of the primary reasons, but free Destiny and GGXRD were icing on the cake.

And trust me, anyone on PS3, you really want the upgrade, especially if you don't plan to get the PC version. The difference is night and day.

this has to do with people's money, so this is something serious. They would never joke on something like that.

I myself am trying to find the money needed to get a PS4 before that; should it turn out to be a joke I would be extremely pissed cause they would have pushed me to buy something I cannot really afford right now... damn italian electricity bills lol

Maybe they will resume it sometime, or not, but for sure on April 1st it'll be over.

Worst case scenario, you can commit to it and just upgrade on mogstation before you buy it.

You won't be able to play on PS3 anymore...but you'll shave some $$$ off your PS4 purchase...?
