No Tourny Reward fix?

So most will agree that the Triple Triad Lightning cards 100% went to people who abused the system, not the players who played fair or who were actually good at the game. The system is definitely broken in a competitive manner, so are we still rewarding the people who cheated the system? At this point, wouldn't it make sense just to send everyone a Lightning card and cancel card exclusivity in the tournament until a good system is in place? I understand it would take a lot of work to fix tournaments and there are other things SE has to focus on, but an easy fix would be to just take away the card rewards from future tournaments.

No reason to do a tournament if you take away the reward. Plain and simple. Getting upset people cheated for a card? its just Triple Triad, a side thing. I get why your upset, because people cheated, let them fix the system, but no reason to get so butthurt over it.

Everybody has parts of the game they are passionate about. If collecting TT cards is one of them, I don't think you have any business telling them not to get "butthurt" over it.

If thats your passion, thats perfectly acceptable, but to ASSUME everyone thats on top cheated their way? Don't whine about the current situation, find ways to fix it and give some constructive feedback.

There are veritable threads full of constructive feedback. There is also extensive documentation that a large portion of the winners (if not the majority) exploited the system to get there.

The fix was to remove the exclusive item from the tournament reward, I apologize if that wasn't clear. This is a straight forward resolution, a lot of people are offering ideas that are difficult to program. This is simple, remove exclusivity so it doesn't matter as much who wins and loses the tournament. This isn't a "butthurt" thread, just a suggestion that seems practical at the moment. Again, I apologize if I upset you.

I think that would probably cause more problems than it's worth at this point though, because there'd be a backlash of players who'd feel they won it by doing what was allowed within the game and they're not getting the winnings they were promised. (no matter how badly they cheated in order to win) So probably the best course of action to prevent that would be to just redesign the tournament so that it's not nearly as easy to cheat your way to the top, then hold it again under the redesigned version but with the same rewards and allow players to be able to win legitly. Nothing they can really do about the winners this time around tbh.

I'm definitely not suggesting take away their rewards, but to give it to all players who participated. It's not out of the realm of possibilities, since when there was an issue with Gold Dye, they gave it to all players who would have been eligible.
