But the server locks for making new characters is based on how full the servers are and how many people are logged into them. So fewer AFKs clogging things up would give a better view of how full the servers are, and allow at least some easing of the restrictions.
Wouldn't it be amazing if people actually went to the less crowded servers instead of trying to cram themselves like sardines in a can into like 3 servers
SE could fix that.
Drop the price for one character slot to 9.99 maybe people would consider losing some characters so that others may make characters on those servers.
Though likely not because people who are legacy would complain and SE would probably not do that since this model is working out for them well.
LOSING not LOOSING.
I had four friends from WoW that wanted to come join our FC and Exodus was locked for two weeks. When the web site would say it was open it was not. The web site is complete BS. They gave up and said to hell with it. Yes, this is losing players and it is not THAT popular. We saw their numbers, the game is not doing that well. It is existing.
The majority of them will get to endgame and transfer when they realize their server's PF is dead. Or quit because their town feels empty. What you propose is a non-solution for anyone who wants to feel like they're playing a living game.
There are a handful of servers that are alive and a very large number of servers that are practically dead. Locking people out of the living servers is not a competent business move.
I mean really. Oh no, Excalibur has a less than five minute queue at prime time! It's not the end days to let more people onto servers like it.
I assure you any new people so retarded to not buy the game and sub because a handful of servers are full, while like 40 are mostly empty and in need of people, wouldn't be around long enough for their revenue to affect SE's bottom line.
I agree. I do think once in a while having free transfer weekends, not too often but from time to time would be good too but I agree with people need to stop trying to cram themselves into overcrowded servers when there are so many that would benefit from a population boost.
I doubt that they add new EU servers. It will be more like transfering the current EU servers to europe.Arent they adding in EU servers that are actually physically located in EU? When they do that I'm sure there will be some free server transfers available.
There are also lower populated servers you could play on... All duty finder content is database wide anyway.
Funny how the popularity of the game is "killing the game" This should get added to that thread of many deaths of FFXIV.
