This game is how old now and there are still restrictions on new character creation on servers? How about fixing this problem first, THEN working on services like recruit a friend. At least give me a code like in FFXI so my RL friends could be on my server.

Some servers have a very high population. Excalibur nearly always has a (somewhat short) queue to get on. Allowing more people would just make it worse.

Out of over 60 servers, only 18 of them are restricted. If you want to play with your friends THAT much, pick a new server.
SE wants crowded servers to be less crowded.
Now, if you want to complain about gold farmers and spammers occupying that space, that's fine. But this is a VERY popular game that is already pushing its hardware to its limits.
There's really not a lot you can do about the congestion except pick a server that isn't congested. The occupants of that server would welcome new friends to play with.

Arent they adding in EU servers that are actually physically located in EU? When they do that I'm sure there will be some free server transfers available.

There are also lower populated servers you could play on... All duty finder content is database wide anyway.

I think it is. Twice. Once for when the game's release was so popular the game was nigh unplayable for 4 days, and once when they instituted the character creation restrictions in the first place.

Kicking the AFK people would do nothing, SE is the one that locks the server from making a new character not the people that are AFK.
