Yes. Savage First Coil and Savage Primals (even if just the first three) would absolutely tide anyone over.

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the development of fights/programming of mechanics, but I can't imagine throwing in a few extra debuffs, throwing in more HP, and more DPS checks would be exceedingly difficult. This is the "ideal situation" that I would like to see, obviously the chances of this are dismal to none. The development of second coil vs savage second coil is still up for debate, but based on that scenario, a similar scenario logically is extremely possible. Furthermore, my understanding of the reason that the developers have backed away from making more primal fights/more "extreme" fights in general is because the playerbase was complaining that they were too difficult. Fast-forward to now when you can literally clear Shiva EX with 9 deaths including the main tank twice, and I think it should be back within the realm of possibility.
