Hell compared to soildery set this is a godsend.

While it's slightly different, it's still the wrong image.

For the developers who say, "We don't want to confuse new players" that set right there is a blazing contradiction. That is clearly a musketeer with a masked hat. Nothing about it is "mage-like"

Which brings us back to the whole, not a lot of unique robes.

You don't have to be draped in something that looks like a black potato sack for it to be "mage-like."
