Thanks. I set up my retainer there and i think i'll sell a whole lot faster. I'm starting to get crafting recipies from the level but i'm just not getting the base mats so far. "Sheep leather" amongst others. I know i could look it up on YG but i can't alt tab that crashes my client. Windowed doesn't work well with my tv which i'm using for a screen. It's a resolution thing. Now if i could resize that window we would be talking but that's prolly too much work for limited results so yeah...

Patch is up. I'm excited for return bind. That would help with the anima.

But you mentioned getting crafting recipes from the level, but just not getting the base mats. Do you mean that you're getting crafting recipes for leves?

If you've gotten crafting leves, you don't need to gather the base mats. When you pick up the leves, the mats are generally provided with the leve. (There are a few exceptions where you have to pick up the mats from some NPC in town.) But you shouldn't have to go out and grind mats to complete crafting leves. Just equip your crafting tool, go to the main menu and click "Synthesize," and then click on "Requested Items." It will call up your Journal, so you can click on a crafting leve, and then it will just put the mats into place for your to craft them.

If you're just generally referring to crafting up some recipes, then you're right. You will have to gather the mats yourself. If you're looking for sheep leather, that takes 1x Sheepskin, and 1x Willow Chips (plus shards). But just FYI, Sheepskin (as opposed to Sheep Leather) sells really well. It's used in both low and high level recipes.

You used to be able to find a ton of sheep near the lighthouse in southern La Noscea. Here's a link to YG's map for "Lost Ewes" showing their location. At low levels, it might be worth grinding down there for a little while. Hopefully they haven't been moved.

What i saw were recipies in the "awarded" tab of the synthetise interface. Also i noticed that text from completing leves was also recipies. I just thought that's where you're supposed to get them. Instead of some YG database. However it seems like they don't add up over a period of time and last cycle's stuff is gone now.

I'm doing repairs now but i have yet to craft something because of this base recipie thing. I'll just have to write down everything i need because my monitor sucks and resolutions don't go high enough to play windowed. That or i'll just drop crafting. They need to fix alt tab and that directX bug.

So far FF14 has been challenging and fun and i'm looking forward to learning new things.
