Bio2, Miasma, Bio, Contagion Bane. Swift Shadow Flare. Run in Miasma II. Blizz II spam.
Rouse + Aerial Slash
(Apply buffs/ Fester where applicable - this gives time for adds to be gathered before casting SF)

Single Target (Ifrit)

Precast Shadow Flare, RS, Bio, Miasma, Bio2, Ruin 2, Fester
Apply Bio before RS falls off and squeeze in another Fester
(Always use RS just before refreshing Bio to always get two buffed sets and save Aetherflow if it can be used during RS)

If you always want to go big on the opener (INT Pots + PPP) then Garuda is your best choice for that, especially if you have a NIN and they open with Trick attack.

Shadow Flare in place before boss pull. As nice as a buffed SF is, it's not more than an additional buffed Ruin + SF already in place.


Sprint, RS, Bio (Run in + AA), INT Pot, Rouse/Spur, Miasma, Bio2, Ruin2, Fester, Enkindle, Miasma II, PPP, Ruin II, Ruin etc Bio + Fester before RS falls off + Contagion - Once Garuda's buffs wear off you can swift cast Ifrit.
(This allows Garuda to take advantage of Foes on the opener and gives time for the Blunt/Slash resist to be set up for Ifrit before casting him out - Garuda + Foes = Ifrit without Slash/Blunt Debuffs up)

I think using rouse + spur + enkindle with garuda instead ifrit probably already make you lose more damage than what you gain from rs + x pot + contagion. I would not say using garuda make any stronger opener.

Honestly on speed runs I use garuda's enkindle because I honestly don't know the range of Ifrit Inferno vs Garuda. I can also follow up with R+S Aerial Slash right after. Also another tip is asking to use caster LB on speed run trash mobs. I'm finding this makes the run go a lot faster and smoother. But yes, on a boss fight i'll use Ifrit's Enkindle over Garuda because it's a little stronger.
