Huge Problem W/Loot Gluttony On JP Servers

It's kinda funny, the Allegan Catalyst from CT is basically at garbage mat prices on my server now, if my retainer were to bring me something from a quick venture that was worth the same amount on the MB as an Allegan Catalyst, I would probably just discard it, that's how little it's worth. But when the run is over you'll see like 6/8 people rolled Need on it and 2 of us passed. And that's fine, they can have it I passed because I have no use for it, but it makes me wonder- are there that many people who really are like Oh wow Allegan Catalyst I can actually make use of this or sell it for 400 Gil- or do people just hit Need because they can. If that's how people roll on garbage mats it's how they'll roll on better stuff.

It's like that on Excalibur too. I was unaware of this until I actually trying to figure out what I could use it for the first time. (It's used for crafting ilevel 110 gear), and then kinda went ... oh... it's kinda worthless when the current BiS gear is well past ilevel 110. (There's no craftable gear after ilevel 110. Current BiS is 130/135. Crafting gear maxes at 70, BiS is 90)

So when V3.0 comes out, I assume that there will be new base level gear with different ilevel ratings, and new craftables that make everything available worthless overnight.
