I hope they do not rush this release.

It has been said time and time again that PS3 will have its own build. Xbox is dead due to Microsoft. China will have it's own servers... ect, ect.
I believe the release of Ishgard and all content that is related to Ishgard such as new classes, zones, quests ect, ect. will be a good point to start PS3 Beta.

buy a damn computer? you already got a ps3 controller

PS3 Release needs to wait for more content, and a solution to the market wards... If we get a major influx of new players and they cant put retainers out, or the system is a complete fail, you will see people quitting just as fast as they started.
There are still a lot of changed that are "REQUIRED" before you can release more players onto each server. This isn't even including all the "SHOULD BE" things that aren't in the game.
I played alpha, beta, open beta and CE release, and still enjoy this game. There is so many things to do, and so much potential for the future. Those with closed/narrow minds have less to do.

As much as I would like to see a big PS3 version, it is a very delicate situation. The Dev's need to make sure FFXIV's revamp and release on the PS3 gives the game a better look than it did on the PC. It is pretty much FFXIV's last chance to get out in the spotlight instead so deep in a hole it came out to China.
They want to make sure when a new PS3 player starts FFXIV, it is well worth 60 dollars (assuming that is the price) and the 15 per month subscription. As of right now, it is not worth 60 nor is it good enough to go beyond free to play right now. Is the game much better than a year ago? Most definitely. We will get to that point very soon where a PS3 version release will be legit.
it was due to the RAM on the system not the HDD, although that would soon play a roll as well. Yes FFXI was made for PS2 first, then PC, but in the case of FFXIV it is the other way around PC > PS3, but even then, they have to keep RAM limits of the PS3 in mind, so again FFXIV is held back by the PS3.

Thank you, someone that knows something about hardware.it was due to the RAM on the system not the HDD, although that would soon play a roll as well. I dont want them to rush the ps3 release. Just get it right then release it and breathe new life into the game. Oh and them adding the missing genders as playabe will be the icing on the cake ^^

Also like to mention the PC version is a port of the PS3, and goes with it's limitations, not the PC's.it was due to the RAM on the system not the HDD, although that would soon play a roll as well. Yes FFXI was made for PS2 first, then PC, but in the case of FFXIV it is the other way around PC > PS3, but even then, they have to keep RAM limits of the PS3 in mind, so again FFXIV is held back by the PS3.
