Anyone feel like linking this license agreement people keep throwing around like it's gospel? There is no official confirmation of anything yet, so I'd really wish people would stop talking like they've released anything on the subject, because they haven't. Any details of that nature will get a Lodestone news post, and there isn't one yet. And the PAX East panel isn't until Saturday.

Pretty sure the expansion will be available for purchase on PSN for players who only use the one platform, but requiring a separate key for every platform a player wants to use is just silly, especially considering the (assumed) price tag. They should know already how many players that would alienate, so I highly doubt they'd pull anything like that.

To publish a game on a console you have to license it with the console, the agreement involves things like getting a cut of the profit per game sold, update costs, and exclusivity. This is how console makers can lose money making a console but still come out happy as a fat chocobo. Nintendo vs Tagen is sort of those moments (I'm sure others) where game makers figured they ought to license their game with the console owner.

It is not /known/ what their console license entails; although, you (I?) can bet Sony would think about and not being excited to say "oh sure PC versions of your DLC/Expansions can work on our console for free as well" - when they could get paid for it instead. So while not known, if I had to guess I think the safer guess is either both or at least buying the one that requires a license (you don't need to license your game for a PC, thankfully lol).
