That rich coming from someone who has yet to even clear T10.I personally would rather have two good WHM than a WHM and a SCH.
WHM have a lot more power under the hood and if they use their mana correctly, are OP.
Unfortunately, most WHM are average to sub par and therefore SCH and WHM complement each other well, and it usually turns out better.
WHM and SCH complement each other quite well. I love having another SCH in my group for an EX run since they can provide the mitigation while I pop divine seal and get everyone's health back up.
Anyone who has ever healed in an MMO knows that mana cooldowns --- especially ones with enmity drops such as SS -- should be used early and often, not when you are scraping the bottom of the barrel. In dungeons, SS is more often used to save my butt from mobs; in raids and HM/EX, I'll pop it early and often to get the mana and keep my enmity down. Titan HM/EX is always a pain with enmity early in the fight if the tanks aren't aggressive in their rotation, esp. after the first drop.
Since my SCH rarely gets used, I've never been in a SCH/SCH group but the thought of it pains me unless the SCHs are good enough to actually know how to use their full toolkit. WHM bring alot of healing juice when played properly, which is the point of the job. We don't mitigate; we react.
Every coil turn has been healed by 2 scholars but final 3 turns being healed by double white mage is quite a bit harder. Scholars have been op since day one the job came out and the only white mages who defend such a underpowered Job have snowflake syndrome and enjoy the healer pop playing scholar.
More players play WHM than SCH according to SE's data. Also, T13 has been solo healed by a WHM.Every coil turn has been healed by 2 scholars but final 3 turns being healed by double white mage is quite a bit harder. Scholars have been op since day one the job came out and the only white mages who defend such a underpowered Job have snowflake syndrome and enjoy the healer pop playing scholar.
Such underpowered job.
Another example of a scholar not appreciating having a decent/good white mage that allows him to be "OP"
I Scholar main, yay, and I prefer having a WHM as my healing companion, but I have been in groups with another Scholar, and for the most part everything has been fine. There have been plenty of times where, I'm partnered with a WHM, but I'm the better healer, and based on gear they aren't new either. But, I wouldn't say Scholars are OP, just ask any Scholar who has had a tank "bitch" at them for letting them die, accidentally, because of whatever reason; no Lustrate, fairy died, Tank pulling more then a Scholar can handle.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
Honestly with how linear the damage is in FCOB and SCOB is, people solo healed with Scholar or whatnot for the extra utility (damage boost, DoTs, etc.). White Mages can do it with somewhat more difficulty (especially with their restricted GCDs), but you can't really say White Mages are under powered.Every coil turn has been healed by 2 scholars but final 3 turns being healed by double white mage is quite a bit harder. Scholars have been op since day one the job came out and the only white mages who defend such a underpowered Job have snowflake syndrome and enjoy the healer pop playing scholar.
White Mages are triple S tier for raw healing, and is very useful in a lot of content--especially progression. As for a variety of 4-man dungeons... Holy. Need I say more?
Still no video and close to two weeks since their solo WHM kill. I think it's safe to say that if it IS possible, it's way harder to do. And it makes sense, a SCH can't keep tanks up as well as a WHM can alone vs. Akh Morn. While having to manage Gigaflare, Earthshakers, Megaflare all in a very small time frame. Eos wont have Whispering Dawn for half of it.
On a sidenote, with all the piety available now, WHM is stronger than ever. I've never felt WHM was underpowered but their MP management HAS been a bit lacking compared to SCH on taxing content but even that is rarely an issue anymore. Can even Holy spam in 4man to your hearts content without having to stop to regen mp between pulls at all.
Piety is a main stat that is statted as a secondary stat on gear and it's vastly superior to crit/det/spellspeed, this applies to both WHM and SCH. Come at me.
There's nothing to argue. PIE is great as long as you can put it to work, while any PIE beyond what you will realistically and effectively use is wasted. This is common sense. I.e. You add PIE to taste, allow extra for mistakes, and stop stacking it beyond that point.

Scholar solo heal T13 has been done by the same group of people that did WHM solo heal.
