i just think holy should also aoe heal because..... awesome?

It would be awesome but so overpowered it would almost break WHM. All you would do is spam Holy in any content with multiple targets.
Sometimes I wish it did heal though, because I'm pretty lazy at times and don't want to stop using Holy to heal people!

WHM isn't lacking..not..really. For it's purpose it's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing. The unfortunate thing is that in doing so most of your heals are over heals by around 70% and the class itself is very very bland. There's nothing to it, very little thought required to master the class, it's whack a mole if the moles never go back down.

If you find yourself overhealing at 70% thanks to some magical tools that tells you so, then you are doing something wrong. Or your tool isn't accurate on overhealing

There was a recent feature added that most people were too lazy to setup correctly. This is why you are seeing false numbers. That 70% figure is completely wrong.

If this was true then there would be a lot more skilled WHM in the game. The job it self comes with it's own challenges and bland is your opinion. I fimd WHM very enjoyable to play. Unlike and DPS class. It is one of the two classes that needs people to pay attention through out the whole fight and babysit terrible players.

If you think WHM is bland then you are likely not best candidate to play WHM.

I personally would rather have two good WHM than a WHM and a SCH.
WHM have a lot more power under the hood and if they use their mana correctly, are OP.

Unfortunately, most WHM are average to sub par and therefore SCH and WHM complement each other well, and it usually turns out better.

Somehow ppl seem to forget WHM's CD like divine seals and presence of mind when they compare the healing power of WHM and SCH. When those r popped, WHM really heals like a boss.

Also, a lot of people who play WHM only use SS to regenerate mana when they have X% of mana left. That would kind of works but not optimal way of using SS. It should be more based on mana burning rate and necessity of aggro mitigation. When burning mana very fast in certain stage of fight, it is ok to use SS even when one still has 90% mana. That way, SS would be ready earlier and more mana available.

WHM have subtle built-in mana saving mechanism - free cure2. Once mastering SS, DS, and PoM, WHM doesn't really have any mana issue to do what he/she's supposed to do in all the current contents including solo healing for the skilled ones.
