The designs for the armor are wonderful, but I agree, the palettes can be so bland.

Just curious, if they do implement being able to dye gear, how would you folks feel about dyeing things such as "AF"? Would a green WHM AF gear look strange to folks? Or perhaps have those be unable to be dyed?

At that rate, why not just reduce the obnoxious number of recipes and get rid of all the color recipes and keep the undyed version? Then just let us dye finished items.

Also I'd be okay with dying unique/untradable/job/etc... gear. I mean it's all about customization, it makes seeing everyone running around in the same gear a bit more bearable lol.

As long as the dyes are not bound by specific materials like they are now, I am in on this too.

Yeah I like that hempen, canvas, etc. all have different textures to them visually. Please Yoshi-P let us have more freedom with this.

I'd be so okay with that idea.

Metallic colors would be more for what tier the armor is, as different tiers would use different material.

However, i think a wide assortment of colors for each weapon/armor would do only good for this game, so much that people will have no problem gaining attachment points :3

When I saw the promotional videos back in 2009, I actually thought that's exactly what we would be able to do. Bummer.

I think being able to dye clothes is a great idea. I mean ALL things are dyed in the process of crafting the item at some point and from those dyed crafts we choose which color we prefer if price is not a concern. However with a maximum of 4 colors per craft, no options for unique items, and also choosing items for stats over appearance you might just end up looking like a rainbow or dressed in colors you hate, and I'm pretty sure MOST people would not like this.

I would love to see dyes added into the game in some form be it alchemist craft only or allowing players to dye clothes with an item. Now with being able to dye your clothes there will be much more diversity in players appearance and I think this is a great idea. Also, I would love to see dyes taken further and allow primary, secondary, and trim colors be added for options that you don't look like a big blob of -insert color here- by having something dyed turning every aspect/material of the item the same color.

And I want to see all colors available for all items (not just have SE say "We have decided to allow you to dye clothes only the other options already available to each piece of gear," this would be completely pointless).

lucky theres only a few different sets of equipment in the game that way they can just set up a monochrome texture to make this possible with not too much effort on there part.

I'm not sure how creating new colours would work technically but I do think that armour should always be crafted as a base colour and be optionally dyed afterwards.

We fix our equipment magically with Dark matter, why don't we make Dark matter dyes?

I think the abnormal pre-requisits to creat coloured armour is asanine making it a pain to find a specific colour of armour unless your getting it custom made. Allow people to use dyes "Hell make them just specific to the allready created colour/fabric choices we have.

But needing to specifically make Blue canvas sleeves and black leather this, and woad blue that....eh.
