I can't see why this is so hard to do. Also the colour variations look all brown. Gear looks medieval enough without it all having to be brown. If colouring was easier to craft then there would be more of a selection. I don't think making it so hard that it costs a fortune is a good idea since the colour aspect is so superficial anyway. It would just be nice to see people looking a bit more individual and this would be an easy way to do it.

Maybe metallic colors could be really rare/hard to craft?

I agree, let us dye our gear whatever color we want that's available. Dye tiers are lame and permanent dying kind of sucks.

I love this idea. Some of the "special" gear in-game only comes in one color, and may not even be craftable . . . and what if I don't want to wear brownish-yellow? Sometimes I really wonder about the colors SE picks . . .

I agree with several things mentioned in this thread.

First the topic: We should not be limited in what colors we can dye items. These items are plenty different in each tier to know what it is you are wearing, plus you can check anyway. I would say allow us to dye the item during synth (whatever color we want), but also allow us to re-dye an item to change its color.

Reduction of alchemist output: Our recipes need to produce less product to improve the value of alchemical wares. I think four of each per synth would be perfect.

I'm glad to see a lot of folks feel this way as well! Again, I really admire how crafting is handled in this game, but to be denied that option of freely dyeing items when it's a staple in other games, disappoints me.

Supported. No idea why this isn't in the game anyway.
