Voice acting. The "stock" animations are fine, but we could always use a voice we can remember for the ages.

I want 1.0's level of cinematography, and mo-cap back. More voice acting is great and should also come with improvements to the game.

Why settle for anything less~?
I vote for more voice acting.
I miss Moenbryda's voice![]()
Voice acting is great, but 1.0 did cutscenes right. I sincerely miss it.I want 1.0's level of cinematography, and mo-cap back. More voice acting is great and should also come with improvements to the game.

There was some improvements I noticed in the rog/nin questline cutscenes but it's still far from what it could have been.

Another vote frm me for voice acting.
I recently replayed Saints Row IV and the level of VO in that is just awesome and really adds character to the game. Those singing sequences XD
well i hope in voice acting they get better, i've seen the voice actress of minfillia getting slightly better, the 1st cutscene with her voice was completely mechanic, the more recent ones it feels like she is trying to give some emotion, so i'm kinda betting on a dark horse there.
That FFXV video is kinda unfair comparison, it has had almost 10 years and god knows how many millions of dollars/yen in development
Edit: Also FFXV is probably running a different better engine then XIV/ARR with much less stress in the case of random multiple character movements (players) on screen unlike this game.
Personally I'd say voice acting as I like to sit back and chill while watching cutscene, I have faith in SE's animation departments for the visuals
I find the voice acting more immersive and its improved alot in last few patches, the cinematographpy and character movement is better too a lot more anitmated/engaging.
Oh, I by no means am trying to say that XV animations are what XIV needs to aim for. I was just using it as an example to show that good motion capture can have a big impact on a scene. I'd say if XIV looked even half as good as XV did (not graphically, but animations) then maybe we might not need voice acting. It still wouldn't be an easy trade-off, I feel like both are so crucial.
Voice acting for me.
While I rarely remember hilariously bad movements/stiffness, I always remember bad voice acting..........so. Yep.
I say motion capture.
I would like to see better movement from our characters, if the elezen male was not so stiff in his walking, I would of chosen that instead of my cat.
Then later if you wanted to go back when you had money you could add voice acting.
Better the game movements first then fix the other stuff later.
Motion capture. These VAs are pretty bad for the most apart anyways.
