DRG = best melee dps right now?

Dragoons don't need utility. I'm guessing 90% of all raid groups have a bard, some even roll 2. Disembowel up 99% of the time is still a big dps increase for that one class, maybe even more than a trick attack every minute for all classes. No content requires dragon kick. If your other classes are shit hot, succor, sacred soil, virus, storms path, fey covenant, eye for eye are enough to mitigate any incoming damage. Dragoons are fine as they are in my opinion.

Considering i do more damage then most dragoons that are far higher geared then me with my Ninja...
But to be honest it is far closer now then it use to be, some dragoons can pass me by a bit for certain amount of time, other times not even close
But it does come down to player skill as well

Are you doing 8 man raids? Is there a War in pty with you? Are they keeping slashing debuff up for you?

Those were rhetorical questions because the answer is yes to all of them. A war maintaining the slashing debuff makes a big difference in NIN DPS.

LOL to "skill" when talking about Ninjas. A casual could do almost on par DPS to that of a dragoon with it's braindead easy rotations. >=P. I have yet to meet an Ninja that can constantly out DPS my DRG... and these are ones that are a good few iLVLs above me with their EMO relic blades.

Sarcasm aside, the moment you try to tank something that will wreck a monk or ninja, you're still going to get your butt handed to you. Lol

Kidding aside i actually mean't how well the player can play as dragoon, as the really good ones are very few.
Seems many players decide to go as dragoon because they are "cool" but fail to learn rotations and how to dodge
I used to play dragoon alot as well up until Ninja came out.
