To Yoshi-P & Team: About Lightning card and future tourny cards

You're trying to actively take a tournament reward that is currently an exclusive prize and put it into other methods to obtain making it more common. Do you not know how prizes work? The exclusivity is what makes it a good prize to begin with. The act of making it more common distinctly lowers it's value as a prize. Your suggestion cheapens the reward. This is how prizes for tournaments work.

This solution does not make it more common unless it could be sold on the market, which it can't. It's still a limited card regardless. In example, the card becomes available once a year either in another TT event, or something, and/or costs a crazy amount of MGP, or whatever is decided. And even if Yoshi-P ever decides to make TT cards sellable on the market as he suggested he might in the future after more cards are released, certain event cards like Lightning could be kept unsellable.

Secondly, what makes you think another card won't eventually become the prize and the Lightning card moved to other content in time? This would follow the existing pattern where old content is nerfed as new stuff is released. So do you really expect this tournament prize to be any different at all?

I feel like I already asked the relevant question for what you just said.Based on the same pattern they've done for everything else eventually that card will be bumped out into other methods and a new tourny card will take it's place. The entire game has worked this way since launch. Why do you think your "solution" isn't part of the obvious plan?

Once again you are judging and asking for changes on something WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN ACTION A SINGLE TIME. As far as we know 1000 people sign up and 10 will get the card. We don't know. You're literally complaining about something you can't possibly know about yet.

People are not reading half of what I said and jumping to conclusions, as I will point out below by including quotes from the topic post that were apparently looked over.

Actually by trying to make this item more common so you presumably can get it too makes me think you are in the Mine, all mine category.

Mine, all mine entails not yours, yet in my topic I clearly said "I would not want my fellow TT players to be locked out of a card forever." That implies everyone, not self. Also for your 2nd post accusing me of complaining and making assumptions, since you assumed that I assumed Yoshi and team did not already have any plans to make card available again, I edited in a sentence at beginning of topic post. This topic was an 'if' topic. I figured most would be smart enough to realize this since none of us know the plans yet. That should of been obvious.

This is why I said in the topic, "This solution might not be the best since TT cards are not vanity, and therefor could be considered pay to win. So I don't think any of us would like Solution #2."

Everytime I come on here I see someone complaining about how something is exclusive or not a 100% drop.

It sounds like you only read bits and pieces and jumped to conclusions. This is not that kind of thread. Empathy for other players from the viewpoint of a winner OR loser is not complaining. Complaining is something those people do that do not get something that others have gotten. I also made it clear I dislike the cash shop solution.

I have won tournaments in card games and other things before. The prize currency, trophy, and rankings is more than good enough. But having an actual item you play the game with that has a direct effect on the game, creates an unfair advantage, as that person will always have a 1 up now. Even in games like Magic the Gathering, the winning card is usually a holographic version, or different artwork version, of existing card or a new card, but these cards are still available to the masses. Only the parts that do not affect gameplay are exclusive to the winner, aka vanity of the card.

That would take care of your bolded concern just fine. It WILL get nerfed and easier to obtain to make way for new prizes thus explicitly making it easier for your fellow TT players to get. This is Squares modus operandi with this game and I have no idea why you think it won't happen here too such that you feel the need to tell them to do what will already happen and has already happened in other in game systems.

I did not ignore anything. I replied to that in last post about your accusations that I am making an assumption about something, and mentioned I even edited the beginning of topic post since it should of been obvious.

Also, unrelated to that, I added an edit at end of topic post explaining a different solution that all other card games follow to avoid game being unfair or giving exclusive advantages to winners over others that directly affect gameplay. This was something I did not even touch on in priginal post. Had to edit that in.

Have you even seen the card? It's good but there are others very similar with the same numbers just oriented different. You are seriously overstating how much of an "edge" this 1 card gives, if any.

Have YOU seen the card? I dont get why SE has to push Lightning so hard as "OMG sooo stronk", but the other cards with double A's have nothing higher then a 5 as the other 2 stats. She has a 9 and a 7, and a total power of 36, 7 higher then the only other 4 power level 29 cards... and those dont have a single A. Heck they made her more powerful then her male blueprint/counterpart Cloud.... They made her more powerful then frikking Bahamut.. unbelievable. -_-.

Yes I have seen the card. Vaan and Tidus have the exact same numbers in differing orientations. There are other cards just as good as lightning. This tournament is in no way the only way to get cards this good. There are even other cards with two A's making them in some ways more powerful than this card. Trying to act like this card is so strong it makes or breaks the game is in no way accurate. She even has a 1 on one side making her clearly a wall card and there are other cards way more flexible and just as powerful. Just pointing out that this card IS powerful doesn't change the fact there are plenty of other equally powerful cards.

The OP still hasn't answered my question.
