Glad I double checked this, was just about to launch the game and then I saw something on the launcher about a 2.5 special site so a quick glance revealed that picture with females wearing the gear. So yeah. Looks like all the whining and crying were people just getting ahead of themselves. Well, unless you're a guy that want to wear a bunny suit <.<;; then I guess you should keep crying and whining. But uh.. me, well no.. I'm good. Don't need a bunny suit. /shudder

It's bad enough I have to deal with seeing dudes in leopard print speedos when they aren't even at a beach area.

Well, I'm a straight guy, so of course I don't mind eye candy, even virtual eye candy. /shrug

I wouldn't enjoy seeing a dude walking around in a store in nothing but a speedo either, but if he were out at the beach then I could at least give him the benefit of the doubt, but still not enjoy seeing him.

Woah now... enjoying or not enjoying male players in swimwear is not wrong, so I'm surely not "downing" him. I think I was just pointing out the sillyness of his argument that because he is straight, that male players should not express sexuality like female characters. Either his opinion is that male sexuality is terrifying to him, or that the world needs to cater to his preferences.

This isn't how sexuality works. Some people aren't just attracted to one gender and not attracted to another, they're actively reviled by one.
I for one get queasy whenever there's a naked man nearby regardless of age or body type in real life. Sometimes this effect transfers to games or other media, sometimes not. It depends.

Because you get reviled by one, doesn't mean it doesn't work that way. A lot of that is tied into the cultural reinforcement that exterior male sexuality somehow minimizes your own masculinity. Thats not a natural construct and is not present in every culture.
