    For the same reason they would want to level any other mounts, diversity. Plus the chocobos could be all 3 roles while other mounts might just be 1.

    Plus there's the fact that with the expansion, they mentioned epic monsters that weren't hunt targets that might be difficult one on one, so your chocobo could be an arse saver.
