uh oh! someone's gonna get brain ninja'd soon
It's understandable. My posts normally start out as page-long answers to trolls, then get shortened to one line.
I'd like to know, that if Main Scenario quests now offer SP, shouldn't I be able to receive that SP since I completed them prior to them giving SP?
I'm sure this has already been discussed elsewhere, but I still want to add a big YES PLEASE! beneath that.
I think I understand why they didn't add that feature and I know they can't compensate players of every change after every patch. Still I can't help but be a little frustrated about missing out on all those SP. And not only for the main scenario quests, but for all the side quests as well.
Yeah I was one of the few people who did all the main quests and the sidequests before 1.18 (which was 70-80 quests!). I can't deny that I feel a little cheated, but the change is for the better and I understand that it would be hard for them to find a way to compensate for it.
I mean really doesn't the last Main Scenario quest yield like 46k sp? That's SP anyone would miss. I could understand all the little miniquests around Eorzea, but the Main Storyline quests, no. And could you point out where it's been discussed tried searching abit to no avail.I'm sure this has already been discussed elsewhere, but I still want to add a big YES PLEASE! beneath that.

I think the problem is as said before, they can't compensate players for everything that changes from patch to patch. It's just something we have to deal with as "unofficial" beta testers.
I have no idea if or where it has been discussed - I just assumed it has been. Because, at least for me, it's a pretty big issue and I kinda feel like I'm being punished for doing quests or other stuff early on.I mean really doesn't the last Main Scenario quest yield like 46k sp? It was the same thing when they made ranking up much easier. It took me weeks if not months to get my first classes over r20. Now it can be done in half a day.
However, it's hard to tell how much SP I "lost" due to griding before those changes, so I get why they didn't do anything about it. The quests are a different story though. There's a clear record in my journal of the quests I completed and there's a clear reward for each of those quests. It should not be impossible to put an event NPC somewhere that lets me access those rewards.
Then again, it all depends on the information they have stored for each character. Maybe there's no way for them to tell if I did a quest before or after the patch. They have the information about the completion date in the achievements, but that might be hard to access ingame - I don't know.
