Wait, you're the same person who claimed MNKs needed to be buff no?
Please, just stop there. DRGs are in a good spot right now.

you forget the vast majority of dragoons are still horrible. let the good ones enjoy their job for a change.
also monks still destroy dragoon and ninja dps when played right so leave them as is.
damn you got me. :P
i was bored at work since half the office took the day off.
but yeah all 3 jobs are pretty balanced guys.
wont mind a tiny bit nin buff tho
People always say I'm dumb when I say this, but spike damage is raid utility to me. When it comes to that, it doesn't get much better than a good DRG.If anything, Monk is too strong. The best dps class shouldnt have unique utility as useful as Dragon Kick, imo. (if another class had a similar non-stacking debuff similar to how Storm's Eye/Dancing Edge work then it would be better)
Dragoon has almost zero utility (other than raising the Brd's dps by about 6%) so it makes sense that it would be superior in another area like defense or burst.
Dragoons are fine.

Their raid utility is buffing the BRD. Kind of hard to consider it raid-wide, but if you look at total Raid DPS post-fight, the piercing debuff will help influence that. In the way of an actual raid-wide buff, I don't think they'll ever get it.
I like the direction they're taking right now with DRG, and I hope it becomes the undisputed king of Damage/Self-Heal in the future. The only way to offset their inability to bring much utility to the party is by making it the highest DPS (not by a ridiculous margin) in raid.

You are getting over excited with full thrust big numbers but monks still have more dps overall.

Absolutely not!
Dragoons are finally in a position that allows them to be warranted for Melee DPS position(aka having to move to DPS vs. Staying still).
Gotta be joking just because they do "big numbers"(My Monk can do 600 damage per hit on a Crit of Bootshine once she hits GL3 not even counting the other moves and True Strike can hit 700 on Crit and Monks can do 2 hits to every Dragoon's ONE ON AVERAGE) they are ridiculous otherwise BLM would be top tier.
This. I main DRG and now my dps actually properly rivals Ninja and Monk so people in the PF actually want DRGs now. And as for our defence, we are the only DPS that wears Armor thus giving us the higest Non-Tank Physical Defence in the game. That's funny... Because as a mediocrely geared Ninja I outperform most of the dragoons I run into.
They can take a hit better than I can, of course, but I do not think they are "too strong."
N.B.: I also played dragoon extensively on my other character, so I'm familiar with how they perform.
DRAGOON OT MASTER RACE FTW!!!!

It totally depends on the player, nothing is really "too strong" at the moment. I've seen drgs the same ilvl with a 100 dps difference between them. Same can be said for Monks and Nin however. Drg is still around the same dps as Monk or nin with the same ilvl and skill level as well in my static.
