For real, if you don't like it, just move along. Asking people not to shove it in people's faces or acting upset that people care and then subsequently bumping the thread seems counterproductive. Just move along.
My overarching point with all of this was that pointing it out enhances the sense of 'other' to a homosexual person. I get it, it's cool that people are okay with it and all... But that's all that needs to happen. The ideal is people not even noticing it in the first place, it's just something that happens. By pointing it out, it's just... making it a 'thing'. People against homosexual people tend to push back because it's more in their face while people who accept it... already accept it.

Pretending like it doesn't matter is all well and great idealism, but that's not the world we live in or will live in perhaps for a very long time. People will push more heavily when supporters are silent, in my experience. People who support it shouldn't feel like they shouldn't talk about it not to step on other people's toes.
If you don't wanna talk about it as a gay guy, it's cool. You're not any less for that. But if I want to talk about it with other supporters, people shouldn't made to feel less than or ashamed for bringing it up. And compared to the plethora of terrible threads on this board, this should be least of people's worries.
Ha, fair enough, I can respect that view point on it. Especially the terrible threads part.

It's cool. I totally understand your perspective and mean nothing but respect to your point of view tooIdeally, I'd love to live in a world where coming out isn't a thing etc. Hopefully one day we'll get there.
