CAN WE PLEASE GET SOME BUTT SLIDERS FOR THE FEMALES

It's not a waste of time. Silencing paying players voices about things they'd like to see in the game would be moving in the wrong direction. There is a reason they overhauled the FFXIV team and started looking more into player feedback. Some of us are bothered by the lack of butts on all of the characters. One of those small things that may not seem like much but irritate people who do notice. Much like the tiny scratch on your nice car. Once you see it, you always notice. I believe that if you feel that adding butts back into the game would affect you in some negative way and really ruin your game play or immersion, then express it here, without player attacks. But simply saying it's pointless to bring up and for some on here attacking others, it will get this thread locked down. We should always be allowed to freely give feedback to improve the game.

1. We're not trying to silence player voices. We're just trying to explain to you why it's not going to happen any time soon, and you all react as if we're trying to silence you.

2. I've seen it, but I hardly ever notice because I don't make it a daily task to look at my character's butt. I'm usually too busy doing other things, like playing the game.

3. No one feels that adding butts back into the game would affect them in a negative way or ruin their gameplay or immersion. Again, we're just trying to help you to understand *why* this isn't going to happen right now.

Basically, SE knows what you want. It's probably notated somewhere in a 'player feedback' database as something that a vocal portion of the playerbase would really like to see. It's just that there are more important things to be expending resources on right now (you know, like 3.0) and so it's not currently plausable.

You mean like how we were never going to get SS2 because it would screw over SCH? Or que roulette as a party, or que CT/ST/WoD As a full alliance...more on this list of "we were never going to". If enough people want something and speak up for it, SE will give it to us provided its not game breaking; so saying this won't happen is not in your power to predict, you do not work on FFXIV. and you have no idea their team setup and how this would affect their progress with the game. Don't speak as though you know. And yes I know they said no to this, they also said no to a lot of other things that they ended up giving us, remember jumping from 1.0? We were told straight up that would never ever happen its totally pointless...

If you do not want SE to add something like this then by all means say you do not support this, but don't come in here and talk like you understand how they develop this game and its updates as well as what sort of resources this would demand of them, because YOU do not know these things.

lol, do you people just purposefully skip over the part where I've said, multiple times, that I'm not against it? And do you also fail to understand the difference between changing art assets and changing all the other things you mentioned? The former takes a lot more work. I've also never said this isn't going to happen, just that they have more important things they're working on right now.

Anyway, I work with computers. I work with coders and programmers. I work with project managers. I *do* know how these things work. I'm sorry you can't accept what is being told to you.

Stuff like this actually ADDS to immersion for plenty of others, it's not as simple as "Me and a few others don't see it as important and Squenix made a bunk reason so they should never bother", It's more of they should try regardless to appease those who ask for it or should they not add more activities to Golden Saucer when people ask? Or more housing since people are asking forever for that?

Nice job not reading what I typed. Everyone who's presented arguments against me have consistently failed in their reading comprehension. My statement was: No one feels that bigger butts would ruin immersion. No one is arguing that they don't want bigger butts in the game because of that reason. Not a single person is saying 'crap, adding a slider for butts would completely ruin this game for me!' As for SE's reason, it's not bunk. They explained precisely why it's not something they're willing to work on right now, and their explanation was rational and reasonable; it's not SE's fault you fail to understand why that is. The rest is just you comparing actual content to something purely cosmetic, so there's no point in even bothering.

Look, I'm sorry that you have immersion problems because of your character's butt (I don't even see how you have time to notice it, given the fact that, well, there's a game to play). I hope that someday they have the time and resources to expend to fix it. It's just not going to happen *right now,* especially with them working on the game's first expansion pack, as well as the 64-bit client, the DX11 client, and the remaining pre-expac patches. Come back in 6-8 months and maybe they'll have time.

Now I want to understand why you guys are comparing actual in-game activies to a behind. All this time since Phase 3 forums, I never got a valid response lol.

@ZeroComplex - They have given you a response, and as crappy as it may be, that's what it was. [I don't remember the full response to it, I just know it was a "Not anytime soon." thing.
Also the forum is for discussion, it's not right to tell people what they can and cannot discuss as long as it's in guidelines and we're all civil about it, as Arias said, some of us are trying to tell you why they aren't implementing a slider yet.
Seems legit, because not to be rude, it's not that big of a deal. You don't need to work at SE to know this is probably the main reason, they just wanted to make some sort of
weird excuse...which I forgot what it was lol. If anything, fix the damn clippin' issues. It's starting to get to me a bit.

Because it follows the same principle: Wanting to add more immersion and reason to play the game.

Some people like having their characters look at their best as possible and how they want them to look.
Some people want to have as many things to do as possible.
Some people want a place where they can customize and call home.

Housing is nowhere near as necessary as others claim it is, neither is Golden Saucer to be frank and neither is more hairstyles/glamour, but people do it because they love it despite adding NOTHING to the overall game by your same standards.

Not everyone will be glad of more things to do because, I believe there's plenty of players that NEVER touched a DoH or DoL class period and the same can be applied to other activities like digging and all that other stuff but may like glamouring.

You should already get the point of this because it's the equivalent of beating my point in.

TL;DR Not everyone will call activities something they will do because they won't care for them to begin with which can be exactly applied here as to why people want proportionate bodies(not even sliders) as that's what they want to prioritize on or go into their level of immersion.
