People are asking bards to be 5% less dps then monks. With bard 100% dps upkeep and lining burst properly you will beat everyone else. You want more dps fine but when you move you should get a 30% dmg debuff for til you stand still for 3 seconds.Putting aside the topic of BRDs should be tweaked or not,
1) No one says BRDs wants to be top DPS. Have you looked at the posts of those who made suggestions, despite you are against them? They said nothing of top DPS. Learn3read.
2) WoD? Please, I could do more DPS as a SCH than some of the crap DPS out there. Which junk BLM you are paired with that didn't tore through peak 2000DPS during trash?
3) You sounded more like a butthurt SMN, yes SMN needs a fix but you sounded funny.
Anyways everyone requesting a brd weapon damage buff are not looking at the whole picture, they are focused on individual damage. Bards can keep the the damage rolling in, in the case Paeon is needed and running. Bards further enhance magic damage if Paeon is not needed. Bards can lend a hand when healers are running low on mana, very much saving the raid.
Oh i get it now, all these brds supporting a class buff don't sing songs.
If you truly think that then no, you do not get it at all. I can bet you that most of the bards asking for a 'slight' increase in WD or decrease in the damage debuff percentage do in fact play songs and play them when needed.

I'm actually not sure the last time I've seen a bard play a song in anything other than a static or if I'm in a voip with them. PF? Nah. DF? LOLNO.
THISSSSSSSSSSSS. I'll never forget the day I had to ask for Requiem in Syrcus Tower when there WERE SEVEN BARDS IN THE ALLIANCE. SEVEN. 100% of SEVEN Bards did not know how to play Bard. Howwwwwwwwwww.
I am one of the bards asking for a 'slight' increase in WD or decrease in the damage debuff percentage and I can promise you I do play songs and do it without people having to ask (except for TP regen). I do it well I think. To me it does not matter if in 4-man, 8-man or 24-man content, if I see casters in the group I will play foes on bosses or even large mob pulls if such happens, I will play MP regen if see healers running low though I will hardly ever play TP regen unless ask for it because I cannot see peoples TP and consider it very unreasonable to expect it when no tools for seeing it was given to me by SE.
I consider the claim about how most bards in this thread not playing songs to be a childish and baseless accusation. Unless the people admit or say they do such things there is no evidence that it is the case. It is insulting and I know for fact untrue of myself despite being in favor of (not unbalancing and not overpowering) slight increase in WD or debuff change. Nothing I have seen people suggest would completely overpower the class or effect the current group composition of raids, I have seen a lot of people who are against the suggestions being melodramatic and hyperbolic about the impact of such minor changes though. The claim about most of the bards in this thread not playing songs is another example of the hyperbolic arguments from those opposed to the suggestions.
Do I think such a buff as it were should take precedence over SMN buff? No, but I do not consider SE unable to do more than one thing at a time or think any suggestion to improve the quality of enjoyment from a class should be disregarded just because another class wants a buff to theirs. I do not buy into this argument about it unbalancing the group composition or think peoples 'wants' should be ignored just because it may or may not need an immediate change. I do not believe anything bad would happen from some of the suggestions given in this thread and see no real reason why SE should not consider some of them.
