[QUOTE=TheRogueX;2771595]Here you go again, lol, completely missing the point and still throwing around the term "convenience" about features as if it was rele[QUOTE]
    1. The term is relevant, not rele, get that straight.

    2. I do know the term convenience, you continue time and time again you cannot even comprehend the notion. So for your own sake, stop trying to.

    3. You've been missing the point the entire time, so no funny enough, I haven't been.

Housing: On the developmental roadmap since the beginning as a PLANNED FEATURE. Including adding plots or subdivisions. This has already been budgeted in and planned for.
Gold Saucer: On the developmental roadmap probably since the beginning as a PLANNED FEATURE. This has already been budgeted and planned for.
Balance adjustments: Fully anticipated by the development team. These sorts of issues are planned for and budgeted. While yes, they might not know precisely what adjustments will be needed until they see the game in action, they already know they're going to need to make these adjustments and have time and resources budgeted for precisely that.
So Stoneskin 2 was planned from the getgo is that what you was saying? So was subdivision IMMEDIATELY after the Personal Housing fiasco? Or the balance adjustments for BLM in BCOB? All of these was planned and and was always on this "developmental roadmap" that you was talking about? Because the only "roadmap" I've seen was the story from 2.0 to Heavensward.

Quit talking out of your ass, there is no developmental roadmap or any of this nonsense you speak of in regards to what I was talking about. And even then, hiring a freelance team does NOTHING to impede upon the current situation of 2.51, 2.55(?) nor Heavensward or even beyond that, so again, quit talking out of your ass.

Anyway, as you have just said, it is not a top priority and that is exactly why they wouldn't waste money on it, especially in contracting the work out to a freelance team (which would actually cost more than doing it in-house as time permitted).
And funny enough, neither was more housing subplots, Stoneskin 2 or even the current buffs we got for classes like Dragoon, those could have also waited till a huge patch like...let's say Heavensward, but they didn't. At this point, I'm done with you because it's so freaking hilarious how with every point you do to try and counter mine, you blow your own point into pieces. Changing the body types or even fixing the models isn't high priority but by that logic, neither is giving us 3 new dungeons damn near every other month ON TOP of possibly another raid or Trial with it AND giving us more story content ALONG with additional side content(Hildibrand). But last time I checked, people appreciate it and like to actually have reasons to stay and play so please, try again to make sense.

I just wish people (especially Xhominid here) would understand *why* it's not a priority.
And I wish you would get it but you don't. But instead of leaving, you choose to further make a mockery of yourself with non-existent points and act as if you know developmental work. You don't and you continue not to so please for my sake:

Stop posting on this topic. Ashkendor can join you too as it's a waste of my time typing this and reading your nonsense.

lol, we're not arguing what the meaning of convenience is. What I'm saying is that whether or not it's a feature of necessity or convenience does not matter; it is irrelevant. As for the rest, yeah. Sorry man, but you are so lost as to what's really going on that it's sad. You have absolutely no idea how project management works.

The developmental roadmap I'm talking about is something internal. It's not something they just throw out to the masses. I've never seen it, you've never seen it. Only employees have seen it. Again, no idea how projects of this size and scope are managed.

So let's go over things again:

    1. Stoneskin 2: Likely fit into the schedule for bugfixing, balancing, tuning. So sure, it wasn't planned, per se, but it was something they could give to the team already working on bugfixing, balancing, tuning.
    2. Class/Job buffs/nerfs: Part of the schedule for bugfixing, balancing, tuning. Like I said, this was time, money, and resources already set aside for this exact purpose.
    3. Housing: The subdivision thing was a panic reaction to the housing 'crisis.' If you note, they diverted resources to 'fixing' the problem and actually made it worse.
    4. New Dungeons, Trials, Raids, Story Content: This is PLANNED content, and it is content required to keeping a game relevant ("people like to actually have reasons to stay and play"). FIXING BUTTS ON MODELS IS NOT REQUIRED TO KEEP A GAME RELEVANT.

There is, under no circumstances, a time when making these changes to the character models is anywhere near the same priority as bugfixing, balance issues, class/job tuning, or actual game content. When will you get this?

Anyway, I really am done now. I know you'll come back with some asinine response that just continues to show your ignorance of software development/project management, but I don't care.

Funny thing about all this? I actually wouldn't mind if they 'fixed the butts.' I, however, just understand why it's not something they can just *do.*

Yeah I'm not gonna continue to waste my time on this, letting my daily posting limits be burnt to nothing over people that either don't get it, don't see the point or pretend that they suddenly have a better understanding of something without noticing the obvious irony.

All I'm gonna say to both of you and the other guy is that what IS a priority? Because Golden Saucer really isn't as much a priority as you guys make it out to be. I don't remember many MMOs, F2P or otherwise, even HAVING playgrounds like GS, instead focusing on expansions.

If that is somehow important AND clamored enough, same with housing and this, why isn't this something when people are asking for it? Why is that less important than say a buff for a class that people are in absolute disarray more than the people in this thread(whether or not SMN and BRD need buffs or even if SMN is in need of a redesign)?

Here's my point: You are acting like because you don't want it, it's now not a priority. If I had my way, there would be no point in housing period past GC spots and you would only need 1 class to craft but I'm not gonna whine or complain or even act like people asking for it shouldn't even exist.

That's my issue here, you are acting like you know better when you don't. At this rate I'm gonna start hearing people complain about people wanting more makeup options or color their fingernails or something and say that should be spend on "more content" forgetting a team is already working on said content in advance.
