Do we have to level Dark Knight, Astrologen, and Machinest from level 0 to 60 when they come out, or do they start off at level 50? If the latter, can you provide a source for this information?

I am somewhere in Nowhere, but nowhere in Somewhere.

Why on earth would they give you a free 50 levels on each class?
I'm just asking. I've heard mixed ideas for both sides.

Seeing as they aren't tied with any base class and you have to complete pre-expansion in its entirety prior , I could see it: Hero Jobs.
Though I think LVL30 would be more realistic, people could actually learn the job prior to using it end game.

We don't know how they will handle the 'classless' new jobs. I expect we'll be hearing more in the coming weeks.
Personally I hope they start like any other class - start at 0. Yeah I know they aren't tied to other jobs, but I can only imagine the influx of people who have NO clue what they are doing flooding the endgame dungeons if they started at any higher level. Even if they started them at level 30, that means in less than a day people will have endgame new classes queuing up for the dungeons. Right now it takes a maximum of 3 - 4 days for casual players to reach max level. If you are a hardcore-player/have-no-life/no-job/no-girlfriend it'd take 1, maybe 2 days to get from 0 - 50. With the level cap increase I'll add maybe a day to all of the above.
Trust me, it won;t kill players to actually . . . oh I don't know . . . learn their frigging job by leveling it instead of being awarded "insta-win" levels and have no clue wtf they are doing in the dungeons. I have a joke macro that tosses "Hey, all, I just started playing FFXIV a few hours ago so bear with me while I learn how to do a dungeon" in party chat. It gets a lot of laughs and helps break the ice as I meet new players on PUG runs. But if they did what is being mentioned in this thread, it'd no longer be a joke - it'd be a nightmare for folks that actually want to make it through the dungeon at all O.o

http://faelandaea.com/technology/ - My computer specs - LOW END MACHINE!!! High end machine coming soon.
Not from 0, but you should expect having to level it from 1.
Sorry couldn't resist...
Like some others have mentioned, we just do not know at this time.
I can certainly see the argument to be made on both sides for when these would start. There are certainly pros and cons to both sides. I suppose the one thing that seems to stand out to me is that with the current system players level the class to 30 to unlock the job. And in the expansion there is just the job.
I would plan on leveling the new jobs from 1-60 and be pleasantly surprised if they start out at a higher level. Either way, there is going to be a heck of a lot of people fate grinding the first month or so. Especially those with numerous jobs to level.
Considering Yoshi-P said during the revealing of DK, Astro, and Mach that a fresh new character can grab those three new jobs once they obtained their Armor System, once they obtain their first level 10 with no Main Scenario restrictions, it appears to be leaning towards the starting at level 1 concept. (except for the addition requirement to buy the expansion in order to play as these three new jobs.)
After all it would be a large skip in levels for a new character or new player that only has 1 level 10 class to suddenly obtain a level 30 Job.
