    I think you had a small panic attack. You thought you were going to clear it, got excited and nervous... overwhelmed. Of course if you're worried it could be more go to a doctor, because only a doctor can tell you for certain.

    But if you had a panic attack from Garuda EX I don't know what to tell you. It's the easiest primal of them all, although Shiva is not far behind for that title. Maybe you should go with friends next time or something... less nerve-wrecking for you.

    I'm going to snip this, hope you don't mind. I'm not trying to misquote you.

    These are mild symptoms commonly associated with stress and fatigue. You'll also see that in the original post, you are not blacked out at all. You are able to recall a majority if not all of the encounter. You even say that you are having trouble focusing from all the "fray". I don't take that as insinuating blurred vision. Losing concentration for a couple of seconds, or how it's more commonly referred to as "losing focus" is not necessarily a symptom of a neurological condition.

    I'm not trying to make light of your plight, it's just that you sound like I was in college for four years. I went on little to no sleep and anyone who has suffered fatigue can relate with you.

    Besides of what some people say, garuda ex is one of the most difficult, or at least stressing battles for tanks, as tank it was my bigger wall, it could be stress mixed with fatigue, not gonna ask for details here because it would be rude, but your play time, weight and diet are the key, you can wait to see if it happens again, but you should go to the doctor.

    Once I figured out and was told what to do it wasn't bad, until that moment. The next one I got into was horrible, didn't even get to phase 2. There were issues all around. People yelling at a ninja in the group, a healer that couldn't figure out who to heal, the MT kept dying and I was being blamed for not holding aggro. Big mess. Thought it really isn't this difficult, another vote abandon, along with other votes to kick people. After that I gave up on it for the night. Thought maybe I better get my ilvl atleast over 100.

    Garuda EX isn't easy at all as a tank going in with little experience. I had a harder time with Garuda EX than I have with any other primal to date. That may have been because of a lack of endgame tanking experience in general, but even now it's my least favorite trial on tank. I'd sooner tank Ramuh or Titan.

    Doesn't anyone else read the health and safety pages/ booklets that come with most games( i think almost every game has it as i believe it's mandatory now a days to have a warning thingy )
    I.e if u r feeling any kind of duscomfort with ur eyes / body etc then take a break from gaming, look away from screen for a bit or go to the doctor etc.

    This is literally what the epilepsy warning is for at the beginning of every video game. You were the only one there, you were the only one who can tell if you blacked out or not. If you did, you have to see a doctor. It's not something to mess around with, an epileptic seizure can happen at some pretty inconvenient times (like when the sun is streaming through the trees as you drive down a highway at 65 MPH).

    Also, please stop trying to tell the person who is saying he lost consciousness playing a game that he was "stressed" or "fatigued." In his own words, he blacked out. If there is even a question of that happening, he needs help.

    My eyes tend to unfocus now and then (they've done that for a couple of years, so I've more or less gotten used to it), and I need to blink a lot and force them to re-focus. Blurry screen makes for poor tanking or healing :p And yeah, it tends to happen more often if I'm tired or if my frustration levels go up ^^;

    Also, too much chaos = headache. Which is one reason why I tend to stay away from Peisteskin map parties and hunting ^^; Map parties tend to be a lot of "where are we going? left, right, up, down, left, no wait, right. where do we go first? *silence*"

    Most likely, it was just a stress + frustration reaction, like people have said. It can happen, and has probably happened to a lot more people outside of those frequenting the forums. Especially if you haven't been sleeping too well lately. If it was a while since you ate, that can contribute to it as well. Low blood sugar tends to equal lower stress tolerance.
    I'd just see it as a hint to take a break ^^; Do something enjoyable, maybe even log off and do something else entirely. Or, depending on time of day/night, go to bed XD Go back to it another day when you're less frazzled ^^

    (But like others have said, it can be related to more serious health issues, so it might be an idea to at least monitor yourself and take note of any further occurances ^^ Just to see if it was a one-time-thing or not.)

    There's two (and I'm sure more) ways to read this -

    You mentioned it felt more like when you drive on autopilot and dazed out long enough that you just went on autopilot and somehow got home/to your destination. I've done this lots of times (back when I still had a car). If you're talking more of this kind of 'blacked out', I'd say that more like dazing out/losing focus which could be fatigue... In which case, you probably should have taken a break or called it a night (or switched gears with a different activity not quite so stressful/taxing). I get this now and then where I've just stamped a label "raider's fatigue" - doing so well but after an extended period of concentration you just start derping all over or have a brainfart/can't focus/sluggish reaction/make lots of mistakes for the rest of the fight. You need to either make sure you sleep better (because this will spill into your normal routine/work/school/etc) or set aside time to relax (hell, watch tv o_o) or do something easy.
    I also kind of do this when I get over-excited in a fight or situation. *Slaps adrenaline*

    However, if you seriously mean 'blacking out' as in getting black tunnel vision, ear ringing, numbing or pressure to the face, etcetc..... IE, losing consciousness - go see the doctor. o___o
    If you mean, unable to focus like you feel confused and unable to look at your screen and understand/process whats going on with what you're looking at (like chaotic surrealism, or with yourself - go see the doctor. o_O;
    If you mean having a weird split second blink of a blackout where you feel like you almost slumped over like someone clicked a switch off/on real fast..... should still mention it to a doc (I get that now and then, when I'm exhausted... like running on 3 hours sleep and at work).
    If you think this was something going on that you couldn't control (seizure, etc), go to the doc x.x

    It's difficult to gauge how you mean your experience was - the description of 'blacking out' and the description of the driving autopilot are kind of on two different ends of the spectrum...

    Like Noxifer said, try to monitor yourself, take notes, present to doc if needed. Without us experiencing or being there with you, we can't really identify what it is for you x.x

    My first thought was a small seizure. Either way if it happens again I recommend visiting a doctor.
