    It is explained in the quest that we are unable to find a way to enter the last two internment hulks so, instead, we try to enter them through the aetherial curent that brought us to Dalamud's Talons at the end of the first two hulks. The actual Hulks are in The Burning Wall and The Singing Shards.

    So then that just leaves Salt Strand and Boulder Downs as possible dungeons in 3.X.

    Is it actually confirmed that the third hulk is under the burning wall, or have people just assumed that? It seems rather odd to me that they would design an obvious entrance to the fragment, complete with a marked path on the map, and then not use it... It was actually rather pathetic watching that scout report that he could find no entrance there when he was stood right next to it.

    Yes when you do the quest to enter the final coil you have to check these two places but can't find a way to enter there so they decided to warp through the crystal in north Than. There is an entrance, but no way to access it, too much corrupted crystals on the way.

    If you read the FATE quests tooltip in that area you will find out that Mirror Knights have been coming out of that entrance.

    So it isn't blocked.

    Here is something from FF12, I know they more than likely have a completely different lore in FF14 but it seems in FF12 they were unable to fly please note the area I have in bold:

    "Being a high rank of bagoly, the armored, flying weapons of war, so effective in combat against enemy soldiers it was honored with knighthood. However, with the advent of airships, the need for its presence on the battlefield decreased, and the old flights were disbanded. Though not disposed of in light of their past contributions, these once-proud warriors of the sky were exiled into the wilds. Having lost reason to fly, they soon lost the ability, and now they crawl along the ground, hunting for prey as any common beast."

    It says that they used to be able to fly. It isn't unthinkable that the Mirrorknights in Eorzea can still fly.

    Point is there is a passageway, no real reason we couldn't climb through it, other than the fact that outside certain franchises climbing doesn't exist in video games...

    Rather than a blockade being the issue, they should have followed on from the lore in the quest where we were collecting corrupt crystal shards from the area and just said that the entrance way is basically just too radioactive...

    Aren't mirror knights created by the Ragnarok vessels to defend themselves ?
