Winning an item via GREED shouldn't lock you out of rolling NEED

You are not penalised for rolling greed.
You also cannot get more loot if you rolled need for something else earlier.
You are penalised because you already got loot.
If you are not penalised for winning with greed, all premade parties will can greed only = infinite loot

They need an extra confirmation to pop up before the loot is given to you, just to really make sure you wanted the item.. I hit greed by accident and locked for the week since I could not cancel the input.

Greed and pass are very different words there really isn't any way you can do this by mistake. At the top of the loot box there is a warning that explains the loot lockout. Try reading and checking what the loot is before you roll on something you can hover over it and check what class it's for and the stats you can even try it on.

ive accidently hit greed when i meant to pass in dungeons before, if everyone rolls on an item and it leaves the little loot window, it will make your cursor move to the leftmost item tile, its actually really fucking annoying and it interrupts you
time it wrong and you just might hit the wrong button, especially when it keeps going back and forth on things that you can and cant need on

OP, I know everyone is guilting you about the belt being taken by you and not going to someone else. This may or may not make you feel better--the stats on it are garbage and it can't even be used for glamour--no one wants it and it must likely would have hit the floor.

It just doesn't make much sense to begin with, and led to an incredibly confusing and frustrating scenario, when a Monk chest dropped from the Cloud of Darkness, and to my absolute horror, I discovered that I was unable to roll because I had apparently won a Bard belt earlier off of a GREED roll, nevermind the fact that my Archer class is still at lvl 1.

More than that, the entire group passed, meaning that not only was I unable to roll Need, but the item actually got erased right in front of my eyes!

It's just nonsensical design, and lends itself to frustrating first-time scenarios just like this. Please consider changing how this is handled in the future.

You do realize that Need and Greed are just different priorities on the same roll right? You get 1 item per week regardless of how you roll for it. Greed rolls aren't somehow exempt from this rule because they are still loot rolls.

Similarly, the idea that you're penalized for rolling Greed is just another strange notion to me. I think it's awesome to prevent a person from winning more than one Main-Spec item a week, and you certainly shouldn't be eligible for loot more than once a week, but since you're only doing one run a week, it's just strange that items should actually be *DESTROYED*.

You do realize that you can run World of Darkness as many times as you want, right? You're not locked out of the raid for the week. Just gear. I ran it many times last week, trying to get the piece of gear I wanted. And even after you've been awarded a piece of gear, you can still run it. You just can't claim any more gear.

I think we have enough confirmation windows in the game already. Yet another confirmation window every single time a chest drops would just be annoying.

For accidental rolls, though, I do wish that the game would still let you select pass even after rolling need/greed. As I remember, FFXI let you do this.
