I totally agree, Also would be nice if they took the elemental materias out of the game completely.

Unless they've changed it certain materia comes from certain gear slots. So head pieces drop int but legs don't. That is just an example and probably not accurate so don't go using it.

I agree. The only purpose elemental materia serve right now is to further dilute the materia pool so you're less likely to get the materia you need. I feel like T3 and T4 materia are going to have to be made easier eventually because of the relic quests, increased level cap, etc. They've added materia to a few quests and that has helped slightly but removing elemental materia would help a LOT. I can understand if they don't want to disrupt the markets and that elemental stats have been part of FF games for a long time but if they're going to keep elemental materia they should at least make them useful.
