    Assist system badly needed

    It's kind of silly that the person who just happens to get the kill shot gets all the credit. If you deal 99% of someone's life, then a DRG jumps in for the kill shot, you get 0 credit while they get 100% of the credit. How does that even make sense?

    This is ignoring how flawed Battle High is for tanks and healers, as if they are going to be kill shotting all over the place. I guess it's probably better that healers don't get Battle High since they are already crazy high priority targets, but still.

    I completely agree. The game desperately needs kill assists. Battle high screws over tanks and healers big time.

    I don't understand how it screws over anyone? What are you missing by not getting high on a tank or heal that makes this a big issue? You DO realize it puts a TARGET on you if you get high right? You DO realize that if you die while high you give the other team more points right? I don't want tanks and healers running around with marks to kill on their heads. It would not be smart.

    Battle High/Fever only benefits dps classes.


    Who gets killing blows? DPS.
    What does the buff do? Increase damage and adrenaline

    There for tanks and healers get screwed. Why? Because:

    Its unlikely for tanks and heals to get killing blows.

    The damage buff while good isn't something that particularly rewards either class. In healers case, they won't even be utilizing the damage buff since they will be healing most of the time. Furthermore SE removed cleric stance to discourage dpsing as a healer.

    The most important mechanic imo of battle high/fever is how it makes adrenaline increase faster. Again, something which a healer and tank will never be able to take advantage of majority of time. My suggestion to SE is:

    * Introduce ways for tank and healer to gain battle fever that works for the archetype
    * Give healers and tanks their own unique battle fever buff: Healers get increased healing power and casting speed, for tanks they take less damage and the duration of incoming cc is reduced.

    Your concerns about tanks and healers running around with marks on them is completely irrelevant. It has nothing to do with anything other than your concern, the point is they can't take advantage of slaughter's mechanics like dps. Furthermore, how could you have problems with dps having a mark on them but not tanks and healers? Out of the three archetypes dps is the squishiest. Tanks and Healers are way more durable than dps classes.

    You still did not explain how either class was "screwed" but whatever ....you are just complaining about not receiving an equal buff....... What would your solution be? Give healers a healing bonus for killing someone? Or a healing bonus for x heals? I mean be real this is not a big deal AT ALL. You don't lose anything by not getting the buff. If you want the buff then try dps.

    It would be nice if Tanks/Heals had a mechanic to build up in the same way DPS do. People just want to get rewarded for doing their role effectively i.e. Tanks stunning targets for the dps to burst down etc. and healers keeping people alive.

    Instead of Battle High/Fever tanks and healers should be able to build something like "Battle Warden" that builds when you gain an assist (or heal a player below 20% hp?). Just a thought.

    Its a huge deal:

    Battle Fever: Damage dealt increases by 40%, and the adrenaline gauge fills two times faster. Also, don't forget the buffs from killing the nodes too. So dps can get a HUGE damage buff while tanks and healers usually get NOTHING.

    As for the ways that tanks and healers can benefit more from the system, I don't know. I can't think of a band aid fix, it would have to be a entirely new mechanic they introduce in game.

    40% damage on a PLD would actually be super scary.

    ANYWAYS, on topic: I do agree that Tanks/Healers need something to benefit them in this mode.
