No clothing or Accessories for Valentiones

As a professional game developer myself, when I considering the amount of content being developed in parallel for the Gold Saucer, Before the Fall (Part II) and Heavensward, I understand that seasonal events are probably the first thing that fall under the radar. We're getting something new, which is better than nothing!

and gold saucer is due to hit a week after this event ends, no less...really easy to understand why it's a little barebones.

I am extremely disappointed in the event rewards this year. Or rather, I should say disappointed that it lacks a new outfit for the year. I've been impatiently awaiting the notes for the Valentione event for weeks now, waiting and excited to see what cute new outfits would be offered this year as event rewards - and finally today they're up, and what do I see? Absolutely nothing. We get 4 items (5 if you count the heart halves separately). Only one of them has any real lasting use (the barding), as the housing items are more of a seasonal thing than anything.

What irks me the most though, is SE trying to do a quick cash grab by advertising last year's outfits through this year's event art, in an effort to make people shell out money just to have an outfit for the season. That's beyond lazy and irritating.

At least the plus side is, that paramour barding looks absolutely adorable - it was the other thing I had been looking forward to with this event, once someone pointed it out as being listed on the MB. But the lack of new outfits for this year is annoying and has killed a lot of my enthusiasm for the event. I just hope the questline makes up for it.

I really like the Maid dresses/shoes and stockings from last years event, I was hoping deep inside to see a nice little maid headband this year >w<

Looking at the barding it seems like a Queen of Hearts theme, how nice it would have been to have the king and queen of hearts clothing! Some nice little crowns for both genders ^^

What a gorgeous idea. Queen and King of hearts ensembles would be absolutely charming for glamours. Sometimes I wish there was a place to suggest ideas like this where they could make a difference.

The only thing that doesn't sit well with me is the outfit. If it's only available through the CashShop, and not from vendors during the event, then I feel they're going a bit too far there...
(I have it already, so the problem lies in the fact that I won't be able to get it. It's for all those people who recently joined, are going to see the event, with no way other than cash shop to get the oufit...)

In effect, you payed for that content with your subscription already. If you just happen to not be logged in or whatever during that time, you now pay double for this particular content. Nonsense.

we do not know how SE is scheduling this events. they could probably alternate prizes, like someon else stated already in this thread.

Yeah except if they weren't in the cash shop, its entirely likely these people would have NO ability to obtain these items except with MAYBE a large amount of gil to buy them off the MB. They would likely just remain exclusive one-time-only event items (like some of the Moonfire Faire and Starlight Celebration outfits that never even MADE it into the cash shop.)

In all honesty - that's how it should be, in my opinion. These things are seasonal (~exclusive) for a reason, pushing them all in the cash shop for some quick extra change is doing away with all that. Am I full sad that any new character I potentially create will never have Snow's hair? Yes. Do I demand it to be available for purchase? No, I don't even think of it, it was a one three times thing, now it's in the past, end of story.

Look at this year's event: 5 items, out of which the tabletop Valentione's Cake already exists in the game (from last year obviously, I think), Prismatic Heart Left and Prismatic Heart Right also already exist in the game (from last year). So we get a piece of furniture (look at the ratio of people having houses to use it!), and a chocobo barding.

Dev team needs more people or a slower pace, honestly, if things are putting this much strain on everyone.

Nah, the cake was added in 2.5 in the Culinarian's Housing recipes, I have made and sold a few since. I wonder if it was meant to only be added for Valentione's Day but slipped under their nose?

I really don't like this line of thinking. "This is my special thing and no one else can have it!!" I want all of my friends to have access to all the fun items that I have access to weather they started playing at 1.0 launch or this morning. It's more fun when you can share these things with friends. But I don't like having them in the cash shop, that's just dumb.
