It's gear for off classes OP. Side grades at best. Also that 130 gear you're going on about requires weekly purchases of poetics gear first so not it's not as easy as just farming 130 gear to your hearts content making your assertion false and oversimplified. Also, did you not pay attention to the last year of the game? Did you not see this coming? How was this new for you?
Yup, and of course this is the reason why every (at least dps) jobs real BiS has somewhere between one to four i110 crafted left side pieces lol. (/s)
Show me a bard in full i130 with poetic chest and legs that does not parse considerably lower on average than a i128 one with WoD chest and pentamelded (even poverty version with only 2 crit IV's) kirimu pants.
I'm not even talking about the new i110 jewelery which has BiS pieces for a lot of jobs if melded properly.
Sry dude, but if up until this point you did not understand what stacking certain secondary stats does for different jobs (like crit for brd, det for melees, spellspeed for blm) dps wise, you've been living under a very big rock. This will be even more true in the future with further increasing ilvl, unless SE changes the whole system how stat weights work and how main stat affects them aswell as stat caps on the individual pieces of gear.

I was in the same boat, I feel ya. I was doing WoD casually most of the week, but I went full throttle all evening/night trying to get something ANYTHING for my sub class BLM or WHM. I lotted on three pieces for BLM and got outlotted. I shudder to think how painful this process might become when it gets down to a couple pieces. Honestly though I only want to sub slots so I can gear up blm a little faster for coils. Maybe they should have a third tomestone, exclusive to WoD, with a cap, that way we at least have some kind of guarantee to get something for the weekly lockout. Why have a weekly lockout + RNG. They either need that, or they need a roll over system for this lockout BS. That way you don't feel like you lost all hope of getting that one drop. It doesn't have to be a perpetual roll over. Maybe a roll over system that saves up to three weeks max or something. Forgot to mention I got two stages on my blm nexus while doing this.I have missed my weekly drop because of RNG and players leaving right after getting theirs. Every time a melee left, a caster joined and he would always roll a number higher than mine. Yesterday I was really pissed off. I raided all the night from 8pm till half past midnight and still failed at getting something for my SMN. It's so frustrating that even though they did admit that this system has its own limit, they didn't come up with anything else.
Practically, at the moment it sounds like abiding by the rule and staying with the party until the end of the duty is either wrong or stupid while leaving after getting what you wanted is smart and worth being rewarded.
Either stupid players or RNG, both of them is unbearable.

This is the right of it. Ilvl is supreme only when you have no idea how the stats work.
BRD seconday stats are nice and all, but you wont believe the amount of bards that still never spend 1 mp to support the party (their main role, right?)
They seem to obsess about maximising dps, but forget they are a support role too.
Seen so many brds in wod stay at max mp, even with 2 blms in the party.
TL;DR
If you dont want to sing songs ever, but want to to a lot of dps, play nin/mnk/drg/blm.

WoD works for me to gear up my MNK, WHM is my main, I'm quite casual and don't get many hours to play so don't have the time to get tome gear for both MNK and WHM.
