If we do not have an option for color blindness we should petition for one.

I know in World of Warcraft you can turn on an option for that as one of my friends IRL is color blind and still plays that MMO.

The main issue is that red-green color deficiency is more common in Caucasian males (~10% of all males) than it is in Asian males (~5% of all males), so it's more common for an American or European company to have work-arounds right off the bat. An Eastern company wouldn't necessarily address the problem right away, especially since such a small number of people would be affected. I have a hue-deficiency that I suffer from due to an illness many years ago and I can only distinguish about 1/10 of the hues of a normal person. Certain mechanics in MMOs can be a bitch due to it, like Shiva before the indicator change. I can actually do this fight now without relying on someone to call out the safe spots xD.

That's kinda where my problem lies, personally. I can't distinguish colors when they're together (and close in hue) the white circles (pre-2.5) on the icy floor, for example I couldn't see at all, orange on red, I can't see, grey on black etc. I'm sure you get the point. It's extremely rare in females, but yeah, dat bad-luck lottery. It didn't come to me through an illness though. SE IS slowly working to alleviate it, but I can understand the OP's frustration, as I'm sure you can relate to as well, there's a large difference with not clearing something due to skill, vs not clearing it due to a handicap you can't control. I think the best thing they could do is allow us to set our own graphical color-settings much like we can do with nameplates. But this is most likely a larger issue and may not be possible
