...Having a biased OP doesn't automatically make the poll worthless... especially when the results end up being the same...
The "No" side had more than double the likes of the "Yes" side, and that's the same thing that happened here in your post...
That is a cultural thing -- people railroad themselves into having no choice by going with the popular one. That doesn't mean it'll change if you limit the choices -- they'll be tons more Blacksmiths and Armorers than there will be Weavers and Chefs -- and that's my problem with it. When you tell people they have to pick, you end up with a disproportionate number of people on certain jobs -- the ones that will make more money -- and you also demand of people things such as mules and alternate characters, which I thought was something they were trying to avoid.

Again because the choice of the poll is negative for the 1st answer.
It's like asking a child, would you rather have 1 candy or all the candies in the world. What do you think the answer will be?
Of course the poll says that people do not want to be restricted, people do not understand the outcome properly and/or just greedy people that wants everything for themselves.
That is the most condescending and asinine assessment I've ever heard.Again because the choice of the poll is negative for the 1st answer.

With the hyper dependencies the crafting classes have on each other, limiting someone to a single one is just frustrating -- especially considering the entire game's design is on the concept of leveling multiple classes to augment the effectiveness of your main. Greed is going to factor into everything, limit or not, and like I said above, you're going to end up with a disproportionate number of people applying their mastery to crafts they know will make money -- such as Armorer, Blacksmith, and Goldsmith, over ones that will always have less demand, such as Culinarian (primarily because as of yet, we don't know the full usefulness of food items).
There's a clear hierarchy of usefulness in the classes, and talking about limiting how many you can do before balancing that out is a bit silly.
My original plan was to level all crafts and gathering jobs because I enjoyed the idea of being able to repair and support my party and teammates -- I guess that makes me greedy by your standards.
Not at all, since to me when they talk about mastering a single craft isn't limiting your ability to level all the crafts to the max level possible and still repair your and your guildmates gears and make most of the items. If you are willing to go through leveling all of them for that purpose, you are not greedy. I get the mastering concept just giving you an edge in a specific craft of your choice maybe making you HQ more in it or idk special crafts.
Of course, they need to balance them all because some are more valuable than others, why do you think this wasn't even officialy said? This whole mess of a debate is sparked by speculations.
When exactly have anyone said different ?Not at all, since to me when they talk about mastering a single craft isn't limiting your ability to level all the crafts to the max level possible and still repair your and your guildmates gears and make most of the items. Didi you even read the OP?
the matter is the poll have won to one side, dont be a sore looser , if you still think it does not means anything , then leave it at that ,
Honestly Zkieve, I am not a sore loser, I did not even vote. I do not care what they go for ultimately, I am just not agreeing with most of the arguments presented.
