Sorry to disagree but Savage Coil replayability can't be compared with Hildibrand. It is more akin to other coil and raids like primal ex. People are still running it after a year into the release because they have a multitude of reasons (light farming, lore unlocks) and tangible rewards (gear upgrade/glamor, crafting mats). Now most people who are going into savage don't really care for those things and are in it for the challenge and the shot at the title but that does not reduce its replayability once they have cleared it once. Especially with the new ilvl and upgrades, more people are encouraged to try Savage now since it allow your team to emphasize more on the mechanic than the damage check. With Savage Coil or even normal Coil and ex primal, people who love a hard challenge will go back and do it with their friends solely because they want to polish their skill and master the fight, much like people who play DDR on max difficulty don't just quit once they clear a song once.

With Hildibrand, the only reason I can think of why most people would replay it is to farm the Ultros minion or rewatch the cutscenes at their inn once in a while. Hildebrand and Savage Coil are two completely different types of content that can't be compared in the first place. Raids in MMO are designed with high replayability and story sidequests are just the icing on the cake to the make the game world feel alive and enrich the lore.

The OP made a silly attempt to downplay Hildebrand's success and the people that misjudge Savage Coil is just as bad.

On the other hand, you are over playing Savage Coil's success. I know quite a few hardcore players/FCs on my server and I'm actually incredibly shocked how few of them have touched Savage Coil. When I've asked them about it most of them simply say, "It's not worth it." I personally only know one group of people that have actually run it and they only ran it once for the titles and haven't touched it since.

While you're right that by it's very design and nature Savage Coil has more replayabilty because you can run it over and over again on the same character. On the other hand Hildibrand offers replayability in the fact that several of my friends have created alts just so that they could run those quests again.

    you're confusing things here.

Coil, Ex primals and dungeons have a high replayability. That's a given. Nothing to say on that.

Savage Coil however... Well, it doesn't bring more than regular Coil. You get nothing there once you have the title. Its replayability regarding the availability of regular Coil is non-existent. Same rewards, more difficulty (let's call it the path of least resistance).

People go there for the challenge, for the title eventually, but they have no reason to return there after (challenge beaten and title gotten) besides the fact that they might prefer it to regular coil, thus they're making the choice to redo it when there is nothing more they can get out of it.

That's the point. The Savage Coil was released with the "do it once and be done with it" mindset. Hildibrand... is kinda the same. Except for the fact that you can go there whenever you want with whoever you want and still beat the trials because its difficulty is way lower. However, once done, there is nothing more you can get out of it. It's done.

TL;DR : Though Savage Coil and Hildi's trials have nothing comparable in terms of difficulty, they have the same replayability : You have absolutely no reason from the game's view to go there again, you only chose to do so (for fun, for challenge, for whatever). Yet the game itself doesn't encourage you to replay it.
