Tell ya what - all of the micro-managing of serk and unchained is secondary to str spec'ing. At least in my opinion and experience.

Strength does seem very helpful. I was easily clearing 220s simply by adding the Str ring and Diamond Axe instead of HA.
Still not numbers that others hit similarly geared. A guy I know hits 275 with the Diamond Axe and Ruby accessories. So at most he's got ~40 more strength, unless he has some Dreadwyrm left side. I'm all IW left side.
It seems too late to do ruby accessories with the patch just around the corner... unless you have gil to spare. If i110 crafted accessories aren't released though I'd highly recommend doing it. I do stand by what I mentioned earlier. Try starting off as MT. With four bennus you should be back to holding the boss before pushing into bennu phase.
If you have gil to spare and don't have ruby accessories I would still recommend them. They're really cheap now right and if you need the skill speed to hit 9 skills on berserk it could even be worth it this late in the content cycle.
What hp would you say is necessary for T12? I have full i90 pentamelds/30 STR spec and I have just shy of 10.5K HP in defiance with food and party buff. I want to use the Shiva Ex Slaying bracelet and it'll drop me to under 10.2 HP. Is that safe? How about for T13?
Eh with the patch less than 7 days away I would say NOT to buy the i90s....wait and see. If the i110s are garbage or don't exist the cost won't go up dramatically, but if they are awesome and you need to have them you just wasted millions on melds. If you have gil to spare and don't have ruby accessories I would still recommend them. I did T12 last night with shiva axe, ruby ear, ruby neck, shiva slaying bracelet, dread fending ring, gloam ring (9900 hp in defiance). Did 275 DPS which is a little on the low end (I majorly screwed my first berserk, oops! lol) - HP level was totally fine for my healers, no close calls - you have so much latitude on CDs in 12 its not even funny. You could get away with 1 minor, 1 major, and IB for every rev, plus you have holmgang as an insurance policy.
13... we're still progressing so I go in (right now) with about 10,700 hp, after 2.5 hits I have no idea what I'm going to end up with. My current theory is I will end up using 1 ruby, 2 i110s, and 2 slaying accessories (I have dread hands/legs, IW everything else atm)
Well last night I decided to go back to what I was doing before, except with the gear adjustments, placing me just under 10.6k hps with 515 Str iirc.
I was consistently hovering around 220s without stance dancing while tanking, and there was an attempt late where I remembered Strength potions. I popped 2 that run before we wiped and I got up to 260.
My survivability however was still low. Bennus, even with 4 total, were giving me a hard time. Our WHM ran out of mana on multiple attempts in that phase. (Healing me plus group healing I imagine)
We only made it to last phase once and I died to Revelation due to no cool down being up after Bennus. I guess I should hold Vengeance during Bennu phase?
If you are tanking the boss first when the last phase begins then you should have vengeance up. If you pop vengeance in the beginning of bennu phase it should be up by that time.
1st - if you don't have a CD, Holmgang it - even if I think I might survive it, if I have nothing but IB up I holmgang.
I tank 12 with less than 10k hp and a Thrill + IB is always enough to survive. If you have 4 bennus the only time you should use anything is while you are tanking the big one + the little one. I'd pop conval after your first move if your healers are struggling, then something like Awareness+Foresight+Bloodbath and then try to chain 2 IBs back to back on your first big bennu. That way you'll have infuriate, Thrill, and Veng by the time your Rev comes around (assuming you are taking the first one).
I think we were getting a lot of extra stacks on Phoenix now that I think about it. Cause we were surprised about our recovery.
I will try refraining from using my big CDs except ToB probably at first. First Bennu and first big Bennu are mine to tank.
Our Pal said he will provoke at start of phase 4 and HG the Revelation so we can get it under control. Either way I think should work though.
