Should it follow the ffxi design: which after a certain lvl (50 at least) you will need "mastery" required to completely synth the higher items and progress further in the craft. As in, you can get all crafts to 50, but only one craft to its maximum level, whatever that is.

Like this post if you prefer it or a system similar, such as a key item being required for more advanced synths than recommended, on that can't simply be quested.

Regardless, this thread is open to discussion on how to keep the value of crafters as the level cap increases and the economy takes on new demands.
No, it should not unless they give equal treatment to the rest of the classes in XIV. Like it or not, crafters are classes. We have always been classes here. And SE sold us crafters a game in which we could level crafts as a class instead of a pastime when we weren't lobbing off heads in a grind party. And that isn't just one or some of them, it is all of them.
