In addition to what was mentioned about you marrying nobody, the wedding cutscenes also use your guests. So you'd be marrying nobody dressed in your adventuring gear in a room full of nobody.
The only proper solution is an actual recording of the scene, which would utilize different software than is currently used.
So yes, in order to record your wedding they would have to tack on more software to the client. PC and PS4 users CAN already do this, though it's tricky for the latter.

Actually, recording is very easy on PS4, as it is already built into the system, no additional software required. It is just a matter of whether you want to break it down to separate cut scenes or speed up your ceremony so that it fits into the 15 minute length that the PS4 will handle. I was lucky - started my video right as the ceremony began, and it lasted about 14 minutes total. :-D

    On a semi-related note:
For PC users, what software is the best option to capture video in-game? I recall using FRAPS way back in the day, but wonder if there is something better/different now that would be a better way to go. Have a wedding this Sunday & really need to look into this!

Fraps records massive video files. I remember a friend decided to make a Let's Play for youtube with it, and it was 70gb for 15 minutes of video.
I use Fraps for my pictures and videos, but I use it for recording short videos to make gifs out of. Size examples: 27 seconds of Dragon Age: Inquisition @ 1920x1080 = 2.25GB || 22 seconds of The Sims 4 @ 1920x1026 = 579mb || 1 second of FFXIV (accidental keypress) @ 1920x1080 = 55MB.
So, I don't think Fraps is good for recording long videos. :P I think Bandicam recorded much smaller sized videos, but I couldn't use it as Photoshop didn't agree with importing its videos into the "Import Video Frames Into Layers" tool. I don't remember the videos being bad quality, though.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were saying it was tricky to load additional software onto your system to record a video. So I wanted to point out that it wasn't necessary. Thankfully the wedding ceremony is actually quite short. We didn't dawdle much, but I don't feel like we hurried, either.

Fraps doesn't use any special codecs. It just records raw, uncompressed video, which is why the files are huge. Bandicam, OBS, and software from Nvidia are three that I know of that record and compress files automatically, though I can't attest to their quality because I don't use them.

I highly recommend Shadowplay if you have the sufficient NVidia Graphics Card. LAlt+F9 anything recorded though it also recording Voip programs.
