Well if thats the opinion folks are going to hold, ridiculous as it may be...put it this wayffxiv never going to have addon that does everything for you and any program that does something for you or make your life easy in eorzea is cheating and you would ban you.
They did say they may allow Addon but only for UI making
BRB, reporting players who use controllers that happen to have macro or turbo buttons.

lol you do understand that i'm still pressing the button right? it just click faster so i can craft little faster then pressing it 500times? So it's really not cheating but w/e i think this was a joke to start with so ahahah lol
and what i mean make your left easy was something that does it for you without you even there maybe i should have put that more clear but i thought people would be smart enough to get what meant but i guess not lol.

If anything, SE has a history of refusing to differentiate on using anything which alters the game experience (which you did just admit to on the official forum I'd like to point out with that "it just click faster so i can craft little faster then pressing it 500times? So it's really not cheating but w/e i think this was a joke to start with so ahahah lol"...) . Their stance has been that any 3rd party application is grounds for account termination. I'm going to guess you need some form of software to operate a device that does what you described.
During my time with FFXI, they were banning users for something as minor as a program that changed how the game ran in it's window, a ban which meant you were gone with no chance at appeal in the worst case. I'd hate to see us going back to that, especially considering the fact that multiple users on this forum have already admitted to using some form of 3rd party application to alter how the games window is set up.
Food for thought.

We are all using third party software. We are all at risk of account termination. But as long as we're responsible with our third party software, we'll be fine. If you use keyboard drivers, that's third party software. Same with mouse drivers, or gamepad drivers. Anyone using MotionInJoy drivers to use a DS3 controller on their PC is using third party software. I think SE has learned from FFXI that it's ridiculously difficult to enforce rules on "third party software" because it's literally impossible to play this game without the use of third party software. I do not anticipate bans on people using software like AutoHotkey to play this game in a borderless window to avoid DirectX crashes like they did with FFXI because it's unfair, and they know it was.
Same applies to macros. I do not anticipate people being banned for using macros unless they automate many different actions based on conditions, because automation is bad and is considered botting.

It would be stupid if SE banned people for having gaming mice and keyboards. just consider me toast, even tho ive been using gaming mice and keyboards way before FFXI came out lol.
Fraps is 3rd party software too. consider everyone that records in-game movies banned.
