



That's a bit dodgy, especially if the screenshots you sent had the chat box transparent. If a screenshot wouldn't work, then maybe a video/gif? (moving the camera about with a transparent chat box should be enough to prove it's not tampered)

If you like, when I get home from work I can pull up what they said and take a screen shot. I will obviously have to edit out the persons name but thats it. :/


I think you are underestimating some peoples' ability to edit media.
Not to say that the excuse isn't just an excuse in most cases but we don't live in the 20th century anymore and there is software that can do some pretty powerful things.
For example, completely remove somebody from a picture and use complex equations to fill in the background automatically and make it look as if the person was never there to begin with and that's only the tip of the iceberg compared to what some of the more expensive software can do. Photoshop is not the only tool out there for advanced editing anymore.
