    i110 accessories speculation (WAR)

    So, I've been trying to think about what to meld into i110 accessories when they are released.

    We can safely assume the DPS accessories will have 18 natural STR and skill speed built in, and allow 21 vit to be melded, if we can follow the principles of the previous iterations of crafted HQ accessories.

    That means that we will be burning 3 materia slots on VIT4 VIT4 VIT4 to cap VIT (will be 24/21), and we'll have 2 slots left. One will probably HAVE to be Accur4, and we would all assume the last piece is going to be Det4.

    I will probably do this, for cost's sake:

    1 - Accur4
    2 - Vit4
    3 - Vit4
    4 - Vit4
    5 - Det3

    If you want Det4 its going to cost you 700k, and in that case it would look like

    1 - Det4
    2 - Accur4
    3 - Vit4
    4 - Vit4
    5 - Vit4

    Yeouch! If I use a simple probability table (used 100 on first meld, 44 on second and 3rd, 22 on 4th, 7% on last the one) and the average costs for those on my server, the budget build is approx 1.3mil and the optimal is 3mil even. For JUST the materia!

    I would imagine the accessories themselves cost about 1-1.5mil on release?

    So, for a budget build we'd be looking at an average of probably 3mil a piece - assuming materia prices stay stable.

    Now, with access to i110 VIT on our crafted accessories, there will be no need to stack 5 of them if we are looking to stay in appropriate HP ranges for FCoB (10.4-10.7k).

    I would imagine BIS comes down to a mix between i110 crafted with melded vit and i130 DPS accessories, assuming i120+ on the left side.

    Any speculation, or anyone done any thinking on this already?

    My guess is they will have zero main stats. So you can't max STR and VIT. FCoB was beat the first week due to i90 accessories no way they wanted tha to happen.

    Det,crit,SS,parry accessories. So you'll want

    VIT IVx2
    STR IVx2
    Str III x1

    Why not use i110 VIT accessories and meld STR to them? That way you only need 18 STR melded (2 Strength IV, 1 Strength III).

    Also, how can you safely say the accessory will have Skill Speed on it instead of another stat?

    Actually, we cannot be sure that i110 accessories will have a capped main stat and a capped secondary stat. After all, there might be a pattern here...

    i70 - 1 capped Main stat, 2 capped Secondaries
    i90 - 1 capped Main stat, 1 capped Secondaries

    If this is indeed a pattern, we'll either have a i110 accessory that just a Main Stat, or worse... one that is just a Secondary Stat.

    So, I'd say that we shouldn't quite count our chickens just yet. Just in case SE makes another attempt to nerf Crafted Accessories.

    Following the pattern it looks like just having a capped Main Stat is probable. An accessory with 21 VIT, 18 STR, 6 DET, 9 ACC is still pretty good, although not as ridiculous as something like 21 VIT, 18 STR, 6 DET, 9 ACC, 19 Skill Speed.

    Can you imagine having 5x accessories of the latter? i110 pentamelds might even be BIS for non-tanks if it comes with a capped main stat and 1 capped secondary like the i90s.

    Yeah I would say you folks are correct - thinking about the actual item screen on that accessory is insane. I really hope they give you the capped main stat, though - just a capped secondary would make me cry.

    Of course they could pull something like making them i100.

    I really hope they don't make these accessories super strong, I'd be happy with one capped secondary stat. Overpowered crafted gear moves the game too close into pay-to-win territory.

    But at the same time making it too weak would demean the purpose of the work others put in to be able to craft it as one would assume it is a 4 star craft with some absurd material requirement my money is on platinum ingots and primal materia. Making it on par with i110 left side would only be fair, but I understand your view of buying into a higher tier. That really doesn't make it pay-to-win though its just shifting the time investment onto some else and gil currency for gear that actually isnt needed.

    If the same patterns hold then 110 accesories should be like the old gryphonskin/rose gold. The pattern of jewelry is metal/jeweled/metal/jeweled/etc all the way though.

    Doesn't mean it will be, of course, but given the existing trend and given how awesome 110 versions of gryphonskin would be.. There's room for hope lol

    My theory on the "nerf" comes from no higher grade materia. Caps get higher but materia is the same, so you won't be able to cap 3 different stats, only 1 or 2.

    Maybe, but it gives us some form of Non-Linear gear progression.
