i110 accessories speculation (WAR)

That's the smart money, It would be pointless and you would end up with too much VIT with a full set. With the amount of gil I have and the amount of gil I expect to be able to make I'm shooting for 2 i110 2 slaying 1 fending

Definitely this for a wise decision. I'm not going to drop millions on something I'll use for a couple months, and depending on left side upgrades, I might only use one or two at most.


I don't even care what the secondary stats are, or if there even are any.
I already bought strength materia like crazy while they were 15k each and the vit were going for 200k plus on Cactuar.

Assuming they do release i110 accessories, regardless of secondary stats my melds will be
Heavens Eye IV
Quicktongue IV
Strength IV
Strength IV
Strength III

I just going to guess I'll get some free parry in there.
If it's miraculously Accuracy (probably not) or Skill Speed (keep dreaming) for secondaries on the vit accessories, then it's even more golden, but I'm assuming the worst and prepared for it.

Actually, at this point I'm assuming they won't even release i110 rings since they're so OP, but if they do, fantastic!

Actually, we cannot be sure that i110 accessories will have a capped main stat and a capped secondary stat. After all, there might be a pattern here...

i70 - 1 capped Main stat, 2 capped Secondaries
i90 - 1 capped Main stat, 1 capped Secondaries

i70 don't have 2 capped secondaries. Like all other i55+ crafted DoW/DoM gear except the i90 accessories, they have one capped secondary stat, and another secondary stat at around 70% of cap that can be added to.

4 star craft with some absurd material requirement my money is on platinum ingots and primal materia.

I personally think they will make use of the Battle Craft Demi IIIs that are only used on the i90 Augmented Chests. Primal Materia just wouldnt make sense in terms of i110 crafted accessories. Battle IIIs have almost no use at the moment if you look at the trends.

So yea i'm predicting the Platinum Ingot combined with the Battle III and perhaps a new 4star Gathering node material similar to Rubies, Diamonds, etc.

Primal materia will most likely make a return when they increase the Desynthesis skill to 400 and allow i100-i110 gear to be desynthed (leviathan, Ramuh, shiva). These new Primal demi materia could then be used to craft i115 (Materia slotted) Primal weapons (4.5Star Craft) similar to the previous ones. Or perhaps even a new type of Primal Armor that glows?

Anyone read between the lines of the preliminary patch notes and see any hints for accessories? All I saw were the new gatherer obtainable materials but nothing screamed jewelry specifically to me.

There was nothing in the notes on accessories. I am still guessing they will follow what they did for i90 in 2.3 but I could be totally wrong. Desynth level is going up so possibly a new demi materia. New ex primal and Scob desynth? If you think about how the last patches have gone and guess this will follow that order, you can take a decent guess at what you need. So far I have found that to be very true and of everything I have ever bought before the patch, so far only two things had no value after the patch. Bet right on it and you will make a lot of gil, bet wrong and you have a lot of mats sitting around hoping to be used in a future patch.

Nope. They were veeeeeery careful and completely omitted all new items and recipes from being revealed in the Prelim Notes. Makes sense considering what happened last time they revealed that stuff...
