Gear you want, but will (probably) never obtain

Not much really. I had this issue with PVP gear, now I have it through perseverance, it actually became really entertaining to PVP and now I keep it up regardless. PVP has a lot of rewards and feels rewarding win or lose.

I'm close to my Zodiac weapon on Paladin, so that's checked off too.

Only thing I might be sad about is I can't be a bear AND A FLAME ELITE MGMGH

Gear in this game is so dreadfully, dreadfully boring in terms of stats. While I want to defeat difficult and high-level content, the incentive to do so isn't the gear, but rather for the experience of having done so. The gear? It's exactly the same as other similar gear; possibly with some stat juggling that only the most anal retentive of parser-monkies will care about. "Wearing Gear X, which has Det instead of the Crit on Gear Y, I can deal an average of 67 more damage per minute! MUST HAEV!!!"

I guess obtaining equipment for Glamour is a thing, but pretty much all the high-level instanced gear is just too flashy and complex. I prefer simple glamours.

So, no; while I someday hope to clear Turn 13, I don't really care whether or not I get any of the drops. Nothing in this game has compelled me to repeat an instance I've completed simply to obtain a rare equipment drop. If I don't get it, meh, there's plenty of other similar gear, and it's ALL going to be obsolete in two or three months anyway. :/

I'll likely never get much if any of the top tier gear in this game. I hate grinding for gear and usually just play for the story and those funny detective stories. I still don't have any of the soldiery gear and I've been playing this game since beta.

I KNOW for a fact i will never own those weapons. I grew out of the grind mindset after investing countless hours into KMMOs in my teens, i'll never do it again. Especially not when i can EARN weapons that are equal in power by doing difficult trials, the reason i play the game.

I want the wedding dress thats dyeable but I don't wanna pay for it, so theres that one. Aaand also metalic silver dyes. I've got like 100 pots of gold dye but not one single silver

This. Gear is pretty throwaway, so it doesn't really matter much. I guess, if I had to say a piece of gear I wanted but can't have.... maybe Xande's staff?

The Lillith Rod . . . because back in the day, when I started on Atma/Animus/Novus/Nexus, I obtained WHM and SCH when I should have done SCH and BLM. Now that I have my Last Resort and very close to Nirvana, there's no way I can force myself to go back through the hell of upgrading my Stardust Rod to an Animus/Novus/Nexus to get a Lillith Rod.

per another thread somewhere lost to the boards, I am classified as a medium-core raider & crafter. I'm not 4* everything . . . but I'm 4* what matters. (BSM, ARM, LW, WVR) and 3* the other 4. I'm a capable tank, I don't have a FCoB static, and I don't try often, I've gotten T10 down to ~5% HP.

I want to get my Ragnorok, I'm just not willing to invest the time into light Farming that I should to get my nexus. I think I'm around 700. I farm when my FC drags me into it for my own good. If I wanted it badly enough, I would do i more, or I would focus on coils more. The fact is, I know nothing is that far out of reach, so I slack off hehe.
