Gear you want, but will (probably) never obtain

This is not meant to be a QQ, game is too hard thread, I promise. This is more of tongue in cheek.

I'm curious as to how many other players have resigned to the fact there are certain weapons or gear that they will simply never obtain for one reason or another.

For me, its the Relic weapons for MRD and PLD. I love the look of both weapons and even though I have both jobs to 50 I have come to accept that I'm not good at tanking and honestly don't really care for it. I sometimes switch over to these jobs if I'm bored and wanna run some quests with a different look. I only even leveled these jobs to 50 because I like the AF gear. Plus, I had a hard enough time beating Titan HM as a healer or DPS...lol (don't judge me!)

Legacy tattoo, deleted my 1.0 char in beta to make my femroe, because at the time was unaware of legacy tattoo, or fact we'd get a free item to re-edit our characters. By time I learned of it, it was too late :'(

Ouch...I never thought of that. I thought about deleting my character to start all over but in the end I couldnt. In a weird way theres too much "history" there.

Any Nexus weapon. Don't have the spare gil for the materia melding step, and am not about to ruin the game for myself to 'work' for them, either.
Anything Allagan. No one wants to do the first turns in learning parties anymore and I'm not gonna do it in Duty Finder *shudder*.

Nexus weapons doesnt cost that much gil, going with IV materias is not Must/onlyway. Just lazy excuse for not doing it, gil i mean. You can go 3 stat, even 4-5 if u cant afford more expensive materias. Saw today BLM with Skillspeed+ parry on Nexus, just placeholders, whenever they get more gil they will just re-stat it.

Turn1, 2 and 4 are really really easy to pug, so pugging them should be no problem. Or just write on PF that you give 100 free soldiery for carry on those, should be people up for helping.

Also "gear you want but will never obtain", you really dont seem to want it that bad since u wont do anything for it.

I was gonna list in all the Coil/Allagan gear but I figure at *some* point I'll actually try out Coil.
