Question from a NIN to our FCOB tanks

Been thinking about ways to efficiently use goad, as goading melee/bard is pointless. If I alternate goads on other TP DPS users I won't get paeon myself, then I will begin to run dry and need paeon only for myself. Then I thought about it, what if I alternated goad on tanks to maintain their TP.

How often are tanks out of TP in fights?

In T10 my TP becomes an issue at various points, but is offset by the Bard's natural use of AP for the group. However, Goad is still welcomed. I don't get it though cause our Ninja alternates it on Monk and Bard, but it works out.

In T11 I haven't been out of Defiance long enough for TP to be much of an issue.

No real experience beyond that to elaborate upon TP usage.

As MNK working on turn 13, Goad is very useful as well as later on Paeons due to FCoB being pretty much 100% uptime on punching stuff TP disappears very quickly. Also. Paeon wont just be for you, will help the tanks, help the melee and help the BRD themselves XD

Turn 13 for example. I pop Invigorate after 1 min (down to around 600-650 TP) half way through 2nd phase get Goad from MNK as dropping low + pop another invigorate to take me near full and with Goad regen im good for a while longer, start of add phase BRD pops Paeon for tanks + BV which tops everyone up due to small down time added to it also, then BRD switches to mages. Then another Goad on me + invigorate during the last phase.

Mnk first priority since they dry tp the fastest, second i would say the brd. Tanks for me are not that important since they will get paeon anyways. Nin dry their tp the slowest if they have a war in the group doing the debuff. By the time a Nin will need paeon a goaded mnk or brd wil probably needed too.

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

My point is MNK and NIN run out of TP roughly the same time meaning we will both be getting paeon at the same time the goad seems like a waste.

NIN runs out of TP the same speed as MNK, and if WAR is putting up slashing debuff (50 tp for NIN) they will run out of TP faster, not slower, AE costs 70 tp.

Paladin burns through TP rather fast, I usually goad PLD first in my static. Then I just watch and see who needs tp, and give it to whoever is lowest. Someday SE will give everyone the ability to see TP for their party, at least you can already with outside programs.

I said that is the war is putting the debuff the nin is the slowest of all dps to dry its tp.

I know . . . and I said that if WAR is putting up the debuff NIN runs out of TP faster. NIN is by no means the slowest DPS to go TP dry, it runs out at the same speed as MNK.

Sorry, but no, MNK will burn through TP faster than NIN, even moreso if use fracture during b4b.

If you are talking about FCoB, there is no reason to AE as a NIN at all. t12? Let the BLM and BRD AE the bennus low in 3rd phase, single target the rebirthed Bennu with the MNK to drop it at a time you get the next rebirth whilst its near dead (BLM+BRD should have finished off the next Bennu by then) So its constant. T13, you dont want to stack that many to make NIN AE worth doing, better served single target. t10 and 11 even less reason for NIN AE.
