Your main concern is to get a better axe asap, which is the main factor when it comes to aggro. You can get your i100 weapon(upgradable to i110) in mor dhona for 1300 soldiery. Buy that and most of your issues will be solved.

He'll also need an Unidentified Allagan Tomestone, easiest way would be from ST.

That's why running Labyrinth to unlock ST and then do a couple of ST runs is the easiest, fastest, cheapest way to gear up, alongside some hunts if you gotta wait in queue (since nobody runs Labyrinth anymore and there is only one tank per party in ST).

It takes at most 2 hours to get the ilv80 relic, or even the 90 one since it only requires couple hundreds of Soldiery... Which you can get about 500+++ just doing some of the required main story duties thanks to the +100 bonus for each first time completion.

ilevel is a pretty big factor, if you're doing everything perfect it can still be extremely difficult to hold aggro with a wide enough gap in ilevel between you and the dps. which is why i'm basically using my monk to oufit my warrior before i get into tanking the higher level dungeons.

Until you get better gear the dps is going to have to ease off a little bit to let you hold aggro. If you're doing your rotations properly the onus is really on them to not pull aggro onto themselves. because it's not like you can just magically pull gear out of thin air.

Do seek better gear proactively though, tank is really more gear dependent than any other role

Just please, PLEASE don't gear up your right side first. It adds to your ilvl and makes you think you can take on harder content because of it BUT YOU CAN'T. Get your lefts. Also make some friends, I've helped a lot of fresh 50s get their stuff.

On the contrary, yeah chest and legs give more bang for your buck (more stats but same ilv, thus why they cost more soldiery/poetics), but since IT'S A REALLY GREAT IDEA to go unlock Syrcus Tower and enjoy the loot pinata even while being carried there and having no idea what to do, and since in both Labyrinth & Syrcus you only get class specific left side gear... Better buy some right side gear with currency and get the left side as drops.

There are plenty of databases and guides for how to gear up at lv50

To the OP: I've done the dungeons many times, and I still have others "trying" to tell me what to do sometimes when grouped up with Elitist. I know exactly what I'm doing and that how I feel like tanking it today. I see they start to blame you when really it's them I bet. If they're helpful, they'll adjust their attacks to the threat meter, and in no way is it okay to aggro other mobs on purpose if they're not the Tank. Elitist are everywhere, and they're a problem. They don't know squat about how to be a good DPS in grouped up situations. They usually only know one tactic. Faceroll attacks to try and be #1 on the meter mashing buttons as fast as possible like some disturbed lunatic. They'll even start to attack before the Tank takes aggro, attack the mobs out of sequence. I don't even stick around when I smell Elitism anymore. If they want to be dicks then either they go or I do, and I don't mind the penalty for leaving if it leaves the A-hole waiting for a replacement Tank.

I'm sorry to hear this OP, but hang in there. Gear really can make a huge difference. Another thing you may consider, especially as a warrior, is running DPS trinkets instead of HP trinkets. Your damage output also plays a huge role in your agro, as the "increased enmity" effect is slightly misleading. It's really more of a multiplier effect. Essentially, say I do 100 damage with Rage of Halone (lawl, I do like 300-400 w/o dps trinkets, just saying) it's not 100 agro plus a flat amount of additional agro, it's 100x5 points of agro (The generally accepted multiplier for RoH is x5) Then, in Shield Oath, it's generally believed that your agro is doubled on top of the skill, so it would be 100x5x2 = 1000 points of agro. It's believed then that a dps would have to do 1000 points of damage to out agro my 100 point of damage RoH. I'm not 100% sure this is the case, but it's generally the believed scenario. So each point of additional damage you can put out isn't just 1 more point of agro, but 5, or 10 more points. Because of this, I can sometimes stomp other tanks agro generation when in sword oath and running dps trinkets when their left side is a little bit lower and they run Vit trinkets but still use Shield Oath. (It's rare that I steal agro from a tank with equivalent left side as me, but it HAS happened)

I'd suggest leveling a DPS job to 50 then farm for soldiery to use it for lvl 100 tanking gear. U can also utilize allied seals from hunts but only if you are planning to delay your relic quest line otherwise save them for alexandrites. You have to be fully ready for tank jobs so that you don't come across any such challenges. All the best^^

Fair enough, just don't run dugeons before you gear your left side. Specially expert dungeons. For the love of god.
