    Well i can say you can begin maybe doing some hunts early so you can get some early alex for your novus step or do the ex roulette daily in mor dhona, you should be able to find a hunt LS before hand. You will also need quite a bit of gil so you can obtain materia or you can spirit bond yourself for the novus step. After Novus not much preparing you can do, nexus is just doing content for light (spamming ifrit or garuda when bright lol) and try find a light LS and zodiac is rng dungeons.
