If I had a issue even if it was Sony side or not I would reset my router and internet anyways.

even if I had to reset password because of the reset.

Just like comcast sometimes ends up messing stuff up on their end, messes up my internet settings and I have to reset their router to get it working properly.

Also I am sure they are fixing it best they can and getting everyone online blame hackers not sony doesnt matter if there security blows look at microsoft they got hit also so did a few other places DDOS is hard to block

I was still having problems last night, and Sony's @AskPlayStation twitter feed was suggesting that people power cycle their network devices. I tried that. About an hour later I got on, so I don't know if that's what actually worked, but I suppose it didn't hurt anything. I just found this whole thing more annoying than anything.

It is bizarre, not everyone had to change their MTU. No sure if its a region thing or what. On the Playstation site it says to resart the PS in safe mode and select restore default settings, though people said that didn't work either. Whatever Sony did after this DDoS messed up some peoples connection, some kind of weird firewall thing possibly in an effort to prevent a DDoS. It maybe that for a DDoS to happen packet sizes need to be large, by changing these settings, packets over the alloted size allowable will fragment and connection will be lost, thus why people need to lower their MTU settings, but at that, connection speed will slow down. Or it could be me talking out my arse, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
